Geordie Shore rivals Sam Gowland and Marty McKenna set for MMA fight in Newcastle

GEORDIE SHORE rivals Sam Gowland and Marty McKenna are the latest reality stars set to settle their differences in the cage.

The pair, who attempted to go toe to toe in a charity boxing match last year after exchanging barbs on social media, have been confirmed for a huge celebrity MMA event in Newcastle.

The duo, who have both dated fellow Geordie Shore star Chloe Ferry, will be on the undercard for Fame MMA's takeover of the Utilita Arena on December 14.

The event is being headlined by Celebrity Big Brother winner Stephen Bear's clash with Vicky Pattison and Charlotte Crosby's ex-boyfriend Scotty T.

Love Island star Sam took to Instagram following the announcement, writing: "This is a fight we’ve both wanted and I can’t wait to knock him out in front of his friends in his home city... warm up for a big year next year."

Former Ex on the Beach member Marty echoed his sentiments by claiming that he is planning on a first-round knockout.

He said: "This is a fight I’ve been wanting to have for a long time. I have so much motivation. December 14th it’s going down in my City Newcastle and he won’t be welcome back after.

"Come and see me smash this muppet."

Aaron Chalmers had set the trend for Geordie Shore star's making the switch to MMA, with the 32-year-old 5-1 inside the cage after beating Fred Freeman in June.

Another name on the lineup for Fame MMA is disgraced comedian Dapper Laughs, who came under fire from Katie Price for using her disabled son Harvey in a series of cruel posts.

The CBB contestant, whose real name is Daniel O'Reilly, is fighting MC Harvey - but the rapper was replaced using Photoshop to make it look like he would be boxing the 17-year-old.
