Dereck Chisora in talks to fight P4P superstar Oleksandr Usyk or Joseph Parker in next fight this February

DERECK CHISORA is in talks to fight Oleksandr Usyk or Joseph Parker in his next fight this February.

Del Boy beat David Price in his latest bout with a fourth-round stoppage at the O2 Arena in October.

And now promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed he is trying to get a deal done for his man Usyk, who stepped up from cruiserweight to heavyweight this year, for early in the New Year.

The Ukrainian has won all 17 of his professional fights - 13 by knockout - and is eyeing up a world title bout before long.

But after just one heavyweight clash so far, beating 38-year-old Chazz Witherspoon, Usyk could face Chisora in a fight that would surely get plenty of interest in the UK and America.

He is the WBO mandatory challenger and among the top pound-for-pound boxers but is yet to be tested in the heavyweight division just yet - and does not want to wait until mid-2020 to fight the winner of Anthony Joshua vs Andy Ruiz Jr II.

Matchroom chief Hearn told iFL TV: “I’m trying to work on Chisora - Usyk and obviously you’ve got Chisora-Parker as well.

“It’s very likely that Dereck Chisora will be fighting in February.

Usyk likes the Chisora fight and Chisora’s up for fighting Usyk and I think it’s a really good fight.

“At the moment there’s this WBO-IBF [situation] - both got mandatories for Joshua-Ruiz, so generally in that situation the two governing bodies will get together and say who’s mandatory was first which probably is the IBF.

“The two bodies are talking at the moment but I think what Usyk’s thinking is I don’t want to wait around until next summer, I want to fight again.

"Usyk likes the Chisora fight and Chisora’s up for fighting Usyk and I think it’s a really good fight."

Chisora - managed by David Haye - was due to take on Parker last month before the New Zealander pulled out following a spider bite, meaning Price stepped in as a late replacement.

And after dispatching his fellow Brit, War called out Usyk, telling Sky Sports: "You know what, I want to have that fight. Yeah, I would take it, 100 per cent. No shadiness, nothing, I'll take that.

"Him and his team they need to stop juggling balls, it's not a circus.

"Come and do what you need to do. Forget the juggling balls and dancing.

"Nobody wants to see a dancing show. Come Dancing with the Stars? This is a boxing match.”

Parker, meanwhile, would be a far less appealing proposition after losing two of his last four bouts and his WBO world title to Joshua in the process.
