Tommy Fury says he can’t land a punch on brother Tyson Fury as Gypsy King teams up with trainer Sugarhill Steward
TOMMY FURY has revealed he can't land a shot on brother Tyson Fury during sparring sessions.
The Gypsy King, 31, has been putting the Love Island star, 20, through his paces ahead of his return to the ring on December 21.
Tommy has turned his attention back to boxing after finishing as runner-up in the ITV hit show this summer.
The 20-year-old has been training with the former heavyweight world champion ahead of his third professional fight.
He admitted he has been learning a lot but still has a long way to go to reach his brother's level.
Speaking about their sessions, he told BT Sport, he said: "It is always good. I can learn everything off him.
"But there's not that much point sparring him because I can't land a shot!
"But the experience counts at the end of the day."
When asked if Fury goes easy on him, he said: "Sometimes, but depends if he has had his dinner."
The Love Island star uploaded footage of their sparring session to his Instagram page earlier this month.
Tommy's opponent has not yet been confirmed, but he is desperate to silence his critics with an unforgettable performance.
He added: "I have been very busy but life is good since coming out of Love Island.
"You only live once so I am taking every opportunity I can. It's back down to business.
"Nothing else is on my mind except fight night and I am ready to put on a show.
"I am going to show what I can do in the ring. Love Island was great but I am fighting man, not a reality man."
