CM Punk and wife AJ Lee could make stunning WWE return ‘if it’s right for everyone’, confirms Triple H
TRIPLE H has revealed that WWE fan favourite CM Punk and his wife AJ Lee could "absolutely" return to the company in the future.
The WWE COO has echoed comments that his wife Stephanie McMahon made last month where she stated she would would love the duo to return to action.
CM Punk, 41, won the WWE Championship twice as well as the World Heavyweight Championship three times before walking out on the corporation five years.
His wife Lee, 32, won the Divas Championship three times before she retired from in-ring performing in 2015.
Punk tried to build a career in mixed martial arts and was signed by UFC in December 2014.
But he lost both his fights and returned to wrestling in November as he became part of Fox Sports' punditry team for WWE Backstage.
Fans have since called for him to once again wrestle inside the squared circle, and Triple H has teased supporters that he is open to him and his partner coming back.
Triple H hailed the pair ahead of NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool II on Sunday, where he labelled them as "phenomenal performers".
In quotes obtained by , he said: "I think what Steph was saying is that in the right circumstances, if it’s good for fans and it’s something that would be good for everybody, then absolutely.
"They were both phenomenal performers, incredible performers. If it was right for them, for the company, for everyone involved, then absolutely.
“I don’t think that’s ever been a factor of someone saying ‘well, this person should be or this person should be’ – talent, incredible talent, are always incredible talent.

"But there’s so much more to the business than just being a talented performer. Again, I could fantasy book and say I want to be young again, but that ain’t going to happen either.
“In a perfect world, sure. I think you’ve heard Vince echo that statement a million times over the years – never say never.
"You see people come in and out, performers and talent. If it’s right for fans and everyone else business wise then it’s something that can happen. But, if it’s not, then it can’t.”
