ASHLEY YOUNG could rock Manchester United with a transfer request this month.
The Old Trafford captain looks certain to turn down a new offer of a new one-year deal because he is desperate for regular football over the rest of this season.
Young, 34, whose current contract runs out in the summer, is wanted by both Inter Milan and Lazio in Italy while he also has interest from a number of Premier League clubs.
The frustrated former England international is preparing to end his nine-year association rather than remain in Manchester.
But he could even force a move now as he is basically third-choice left-back behind both Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams while Aaron Wan-Bissaka is the main right back.
Young has made 14 starts for United this season but fears he will get even less game time over the final few months.
Boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still believes Young is a valuable asset and wants him to stay.
Inter boss Antonio Conte, who tried to sign Young when he was manager of Chelsea, feels he is in pole position to land a player who played 39 times for England.
