Mike Tyson keen on ‘awesome’ Evander Holyfield bout to raise money for charity as ring legends eye third fight
MIKE TYSON admits the prospect of a third bout against Evander Holyfield for charity is “awesome.”
Iron Mike looks set to make a stunning return to boxing at the age of 53 - despite his last fight coming 15 years ago.
Tyson has recently shown he still has what it takes to mix it in the ring.
And one man being tipped to take on the former world heavyweight champion is fellow veteran Shannon Briggs.
However, the public’s top choice is a third fight against Holyfield.
The pair famously clashed twice during the 90s, with Tyson biting a chunk out of Holyfield’s ear during the second bout.
And marijuana guru Tyson has now opened the door for a trilogy fight, saying it would help out a lot of people having a hard time during the coronavirus crisis.
Tyson told TMZ Live: “That would be awesome for charity.
“Can you imagine me and him going in the ring together?
“I’m in good shape, I feel really good. Anything is possible.
“I’m having fun, looking good, showing off my new body and stuff.
“Hey listen, there are a lot of people out there that need help and something like that could help a lot of people that’s in need for help.”
Holyfield, 57, is also keen to get his rumble on.
He said on Tuesday: “Mike and I talked once about this and from that point on his people have spoken to my people.
“We are not at a point where we are at an agreement but there have been conversations.
