Euro 2016 PES game has Wales star Gareth Bale on the cover — NOT an England player
WALES already have a Euro 2016 coup over England ahead of this summer’s tournament — with Gareth Bale appearing on the cover of the new PES game.
Konami have created a Euros version of their highly-rated Pro Evolution Soccer and Gareth Bale is the cover star of the game that is being sold in the UK and all over Europe from today.
And the Japanese game designers are so excited about Wales qualifying for their first major tournament since 1958 that they have even designed a cover in WELSH.
Bale — who is currently nursing a back injury — is set to line up against England in Lille on June 16.
The clash will be both country’s second game of the tournament, with Roy Hodgson’s side facing Russia and the Dragons going up against Slovakia on June 11.
It may be a surprise to many that an England star has not made the cover of this latest release, but with the world’s most expensive player featuring in the 24-side tournament maybe it shouldn’t be.
Real Madrid and Wales fans will all be familiar with the 26-year-old’s trademark celebration — and the designers have captured the Bale heart in all its glory.
Pro Evo has suffered in the popularity stakes behind EA’s Fifa in recent years but this year’s full game release was given stellar reviews in most quarters.
This update has not been given so many thumbs-up with the reviewers — but it is at least good value.
The game costs £29.99 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but the good news all this content is a FREE download for all existing owners of the PES 2016 game that was released last September.
