Paige VanZant loses final UFC fight in first round as Amanda Ribas gets arm bar win on Fight Island
PAIGE VANZANT lost her final fight in the UFC with a disappointing display against Amanda Ribas.
Brazilian Ribas dominated from start to finish, scoring a first round submission win, securing an arm bar after great work on the ground.
VanZant was always going to tap after three arm breaks in recent years.
The 26-year-old is expected to leave the promotion after nine fights with the company.
The fans' favourite has been unhappy - and vocal - about the lack of money she has been making in the UFC.
She arrived for the fight looking overcome with emotion and close to tears as as she made her way to the octagon on Fight Island.
But VanZant was well overmatched and it showed from the first bell.
For the impressive Ribas it is another signature win.
