Reigns shared a series of pictures and videos of his new, ultra-buff figure to his Instagram back then.
Incredibly, the wrestling legend admitted he still wasn't 'quite where he wants to be', strength-wise.
He captioned his post: "Shoulders week 1 #Y3T. Seated Side Laterals, Rep range 12-16.
"Definitely getting stronger and building muscle but not quite where I want to be.
"The grind continues as I follow this fitness Journey/Lifestyle
"Hope this finds everyone well and in good health."
Former WWE star turned Hollywood actor Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, the wrestler's cousin, was one of thousands to reply to the post.
He beamed: "This post makes me very proud!
"I know that gym is wired for amazing sound, so turn some MF’n music on!!! #hardestworkersintheroom"
The Universal Champion is now in the shape of his life, a little more than two years after his battle with leukaemia.
Reigns' wife gave birth to twins in 2020 after he returned to the ring in February 2019.
The superstar pulled out of the WrestleMania 36 Universal Championship match against Goldberg.
Fans had feared his fight with cancer had weakened his immune system and he was staying away to protect himself from coronavirus.
But Reigns later revealed: “A lot of people think that [my WrestleMania decision] was based off of my heath and the history of my fight against leukaemia.
"Talking to my doctors and stuff, I actually am fine and my immune system is good.
"The drugs that I take to fight the leukaemia, they don't attack your immune system."
Reigns added: “We just had two newborn twins, twin boys. They're eight weeks old so I had to make a decision for them."
Now his on-screen character has changed just as much as his body after he aligned himself with Paul Heyman on SmackDown.
And he successfully defended his Universal Title at WrestleMania Backlash against Cesaro.
Reigns now has FIVE children following the arrival of his twin boys.
And looking after his family is Reigns' No1 priority.
He admitted: "I wanna be out there. I wanna get back to work, I wanna get back to normal.

"But I just feel like I have an obligation not only to my family and myself but to my community.
"Also, to set the example because at the end of the day, we can do a lot of different things and say a lot of different things but it’s through our actions that really speaks volumes. That’s what I’m trying to do."
