Tyson Fury applies to trademark own name with Brit boxing champ set to unveil new cosmetics and clothing ranges

TYSON FURY has applied to trademark his own name as he prepares to unveil a new range of clothes and cosmetics.

The heavyweight boxer follows in the footsteps of wife Paris, who last month trademarked her name for a beauty and handbag line.

Father-of-five filed Tyson papers last week with the Intellectual Property Office to use his name to market hundreds of products across seven business classes.

If the application is approved, the 32-year-old will be able to sell his own range of aftershave, clothes, computer games, magazines, books, gym gear and toys.

The WBC heavyweight champ already has a raft of goods for sale under Gypsy King and, more recently, You Big Dosser.

In February, Fury trademarked his biggest insult "You Big Dosser” on the eve of beating rival Deontay Wilder in February.

It meant he could sell products with his famous catchphrase including perfume, sunglasses, telephones, posters, calendars, sticker magazines, wallets, belts, games, toys, T-shirts, duvet covers, boxing boots and even Christmas decorations.

Meanwhile, wife Paris, 31, is also cashing in on her fame, as she’s rarely ever seen without a designer handbag on her arm.

The couple married in 2008 – having met when Paris was 15 years old and Tyson was 17.

They live in a £550,000 home in Morecambe with their kids Venezuela, ten, Prince John James, eight, Prince Tyson Fury II, three, Valencia Amber, two, and Prince Adonis Amaziah, one.

But one man who won't be buying any Fury-branded products is his big British rival Anthony Joshua.

The WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight champ labelled Tyson Fury as the worse dressed celeb - than asked if he is "even a celebrity".

Unified heavyweight champion AJ - who spent a day promoting his partnership with Hugo BOSS - discussed his style of fashion with Capital Breakfast.

And the 30-year-old admitted it contrasted with Fury, who is known to show off whacky suits and shoes.

JOSHUA NOT IMPRESSED

When asked: 'Which celebrity that you’ve met has the worst fashion sense?' the Capital team suggest Fury, pointing to his alligator sofas.

But Joshua responded: "Oh! Mate, let’s not even. Is he even a celebrity?"

He continues: "He needs to come to BOSS, ASAP.

"He needs to come to BOSS, get some tailoring done, you know what I mean, get some custom made pieces, I promise you.

"They said David Haye used to wear the worst suits and now, he’s passed the baton over to Tyson Fury.

"So right now we’re saying Tyson Fury."

Joshua's light-hearted jibe was echoed by Ricky Hatton, who mocked Fury for overtaking Haye as worse dressed heavyweight.

Fury announced during coronavirus lockdown that he and Joshua had agreed to two fights in 2021.

Should both boxers come through their respective mandatories - Joshua fights Kubrat Pulev in December and Fury has the trilogy fight against Wilder - all the belts will be on the line.
