Wijnaldum refuses to rule out Barcelona transfer as he breaks silence over possible Liverpool exit
GEORGINIO WIJNALDUM has refused to rule out a move to Barcelona as speculation ramps up over his possible Liverpool exit.
The Netherlands international has less than a year remaining on his Reds contract and could leave on a free transfer next summer.
New Barca boss Ronald Koeman built a good relationship with Wijnaldum when he was manager of the Dutch national team.
The 29-year-old has reportedly agreed a three-year deal to join the Spanish giants, who are hoping to pay Liverpool around £18million.
Wijnaldum is away on international duty with the Netherlands where he broke his silence for the first time on his future.
He said: "They are only rumours. I can't say anything at the moment."

Wijnaldum - who Barca view as a replacement for Ivan Rakitic - even joked with the media after he was asked whether he could be a key star for the Catalans.
He added: "I thought you were going to ask if I could be an important part of the Dutch team. If you ask me about the 'Orange', I can respond."
Jurgen Klopp is thought to be open to offloading Wijnaldum to Barcelona if he does not want to extend his current contract.
And the move could work out for both sides with Liverpool needing to raise funds to sign ex-Barca star Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich.

The 29-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Merseyside since he expressed his desire to leave the Germans this summer.
Bayern will not stand in the Spaniard's way and have even recommended that he move to the Premier League.
This has led Manchester United to emerge as another potential destination for the £27million man.
