SHEFFIELD UNITED boss Chris Wilder has made a stunning £23million bid for Liverpool babe Rhian Brewster.
Blades have pushed the boat out to offer a guaranteed £18m plus a further £5m in extras for the young striker who has never kicked a ball in the Premier League.
The England Under-21 hitman is now set to sort out a contract with Wilder, who has been chasing him for two months, as we first revealed.
The latest offer should be accepted by the Kop despite rival interest from Crystal Palace, with the chance to buy back Brewster only offered by the Bramall Lane club.
Brewster knows he has to leave for first-team football after meeting boss Jurgen Klopp and he has been out of the squad since the serious games began.
It is a chance for the 20-year-old - who was on loan at Swansea last season - to prove his worth in the top-flight with the long-term possibility of returning to Anfield thrown in.
However the move is also a triumph for Wilder, whose money men have increased their bids in the past few days and shown their commitment to staying up.
Aston Villa were interested in signing Brewster earlier this window, but they instead opted for Ollie Watkins.
Brewster fuelled speculation of him joining United earlier this month after he liked an Instagram post linking him with a switch to the club.
Speaking of his future in August, the youngster podcast: "Ultimately, I want to be at Liverpool next season.

Sheffield United have also been linked with a move to bring former Liverpool star Daniel Sturridge to South Yorkshire.
