ALL GONE RONG

Cristiano Ronaldo has missed FOUR of his last five penalties for Portugal and Real Madrid after Austria scuff

Ex-Manchester United man has been hitting woodwork, missing the target and suffering saves since February

CRISTIANO Ronaldo suffered a humiliating night in the Euro 2016 draw with Austria with a penalty miss.

The Portugal forward, with the worst free-kick record in the history of the tournament, fluffed his lines on 78 minutes.

The Portuguese could be the victim of karma after his damning comments against minnows Iceland who did brilliantly to stifle him in the opening group match that ended in a draw.

Or it could be that he’s just useless at penalties after missing a whopping FOUR out of his last five

The former Manchester United man has stunk from 12-yards since the turn of the year, missing a handful of spot-kicks for Real Madrid the national team.

And he’s not always coming up against in-form keepers who are diving correctly or pulling-off amazing saves.

Two misses are down to the human Ken doll missing the target – from 12 YARDS!

On Saturday night he fails to test the Iceland goalkeeper – who had looked shaky as jelly – by scuffing the set-piece against the bottom of the right post.

But that was a decent effort compared to a couple of his recent howlers.

In March the 31-year-old smashed the ball over the bar from the spot against Sevilla.

Cristiano Ronaldo's four spot-kick misses

Portugal missed out on two crucial two points in their Euro 2016 draw with Austria. Main man Cristiano Ronaldo scuffed a penalty against the post. But it was not his first

18 June 2016 v Austria - post
25 March 2016 v Bulgaria - saved
20 March 2016 v Sevilla – over
21 February 2016 v Malaga – saved

He at least forced saves from the world-class keepers of Bulgaria in March and Malaga in February.

But will anyone have the front to tell the man with 35 goals from 36 La Liga matches last season that he is coming off pens?

Perhaps Pepe could have a word?
