Darts Legend Eric Bristow turns down £250 Question of Sport gig as he doesn’t ‘work for that sort of money’

The former World No. 1 didn't see the point and tells Sue Barker to give her pay packet to charity

DARTS legend Eric Bristow has taken aim at the BBC for offering £250 to appear on quiz show A Question of Sport.

The Crafty Cockney, 59, was asked to take part in the mystery guest round but said: “I don’t work for that sort of money.”

Bristow said he would consider appearing if Tennis Legend and host, Sue Barker donated her wages to charity

Producers said Boris Becker, Maradona and Seve Ballesteros have all appeared for similar fees.

Eric said he would if host Sue Barker gave her pay to charity.

He added: “It’s not the money, it’s the cheek of it. Maybe they should ask Roy Hodgson, I’m sure he’s available.”

The five-time World Champ, who was in I’m a Celebrity in 2012, snubbed Ant and Dec’s £100 offer to appear on Britain’s Got Talent last year.

The Darts Legend had previously rejected a £100 appearance on ITV's Britain's Got Talent in 2015, claiming the offer was insignificant to the wages of hosts Ant and DecCredit: Splash News
