Cristiano Ronaldo ‘offered £230,000-a-week by Man City, Harry Kane wants £400k-a-week, Kounde Chelsea transfer update

HARRY KANE has taken to Twitter to confirm he will be STAYING at Tottenham.

But it has emerged that the England captain was fined two weeks wages for returning late from his summer holiday, even though he thought the club had given him the all-clear to extend the trip.

Man City were willing to offer Spurs their pick of five players - Bernardo Silva, Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez, Aymeric Laporte or Gabriel Jesus in exchange for Kane - but will now turn their attention elsewhere.

And their top target could be Cristiano Ronaldo, who they have reportedly offered a two-year deal worth £230,000-a-week.

However, City do not want to pay a transfer fee or offer Juventus Gabriel Jesus in exchange, in what could be a potential stumbling block to the move.

  • RICE TOUCH

West Ham ace Declan Rice is keeping his options open but won’t force a move away.

Rice has returned to training with the Hammers after an extended break following his exploits at Euro 2020 with England this summer.

The star midfielder has been linked with a move to Manchester United as well as Chelsea.

According to the Daily Telegraph, however, the 22-year-old is happy enough in east London and won’t try to push for an exit

  • LUK OUT

Manchester United look set for a financial windfall from a potential transfer involving Inter Milan star Romelu Lukaku.

United sold Lukaku to Inter in 2019 after a £74million deal with the Nerazzurri.

The striker is now being targeted by former club Chelsea, who have reportedly made the Belgian their top priority with a bid that could reach £10million.

According to the Daily Telegraph, the Red Devils are due around five per cent of any fee Inter get – so that could see them earning £5m in this scenario

  • ONONO

Ajax goalkeeper and Arsenal target Andre Onana has pulled the plug on his reported move to Lyon.

According to De Telegraaf, Onana has now turned his attention to interest from “bigger clubs”.

However, the Gunners are unlikely to capitalise on this development as they have turned their own focus on homegrown talent.

According to Football London, Sheffield United ace Aaron Ramsdale is now their main target

  • NOT LAUT OF OFFERS

Inter Milan have received ‘no acceptable offers’ for Arsenal and Tottenham target Lautaro Martinez.

That is according to transfer expert Kristof Terreur, who reports that Lautaro’s release clause hasn’t come close to being triggered.

Inter need to sell one of their stars, and would opt to offload the Argentina international over Chelsea target Romelu Lukaku.

But the Italian champions will need a high bid to let the star striker go in the summer transfer window and seem to prefer straight cash instead of a swap deal

  • KANE RECAP

Manchester United continue to monitor Tottenham star striker Harry Kane.

Kane was given extra time off after starring for England at Euro 2020 but he failed to report for pre-season training for two consecutive days, leaving Spurs “disappointed”.

According to ESPN, the Red Devils continue to hold an interest in the 28-year-old star striker but would have to fend off rivals City.

Chelsea have also been linked with the England international

  • MAD MADS

Arsenal have proposed a player-plus-cash bid for Leicester star James Maddison.

According to Football London, the Gunners are lining up a potential swap to get around Maddison’s £60million release clause, which has been deemed excessive.

It has not yet been confirmed who will be offered up as a makeweight but the Joe Willock, Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah have all been touted.

However, Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers is not keen on letting the England international go under any circumstances

  • SANCHO ARRIVAL

Manchester United signing Jadon Sancho is expected to link up with his new team on Friday.

That is according to the Manchester Evening News, who report that Sancho will start training with United in two days.

The winger joined the Red Devils after a £72.9million transfer from Borussia Dortmund.

The England international has been on extended holiday this summer after Euro 2020

  • GO GET HIM

Real Madrid have joined Manchester United in the transfer race for Leon Goretzka.

That is according to Manchester Evening News, who report that a bid for Goretzka won’t be easy.

The Red Devils are likely to move for a new midfielder as Paul Pogba’s future has been cast into doubt.

Declan Rice has been touted as a potential target but West Ham are not keen on letting him go

  • HAALAND RETREAT

Chelsea have given up on their pursuit to sign Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland this summer.

That’s according to The Athletic, who claim that the Blues have turned their focus on Romelu Lukaku.

Haaland was the west Londoners’ top target but an agreement was always going to be difficult following the departure of Jadon Sancho to Manchester United.

It would have also taken an astronomical fee for Thomas Tuchel's side to land the 21-year-old this month.

The Norway international has also been linked with United, who could try and trigger his £68million asking price that becomes active next summer

  • GREALISH PLAN

Manchester City are hoping to finalise the transfer of Aston Villa star Jack Grealish as soon as possible.

If everything goes to plan then Grealish is expected to swiftly agree personal terms and take a medical, according to The Athletic.

Nevertheless, this record-breaking move is indeed on the verge to be finalised.

The versatile playmaker would become the most expensive British player of all time after eclipsing Gareth Bale's £85m move from Tottenham to Real Madrid in 2013.

It would also beat the Premier League record that belongs to Paul Pogba following his £89m transfer from Juventus to Manchester United in 2016

  • GREALISH RECAP

Manchester City are close to agreeing a record-breaking £100million deal with Aston Villa for Jack Grealish.

City submitted their staggering offer on Friday and it is understood Villa are willing to let Grealish leave for the Premier League champions.

The versatile forward returned to training with the Villans after being granted an extended break following his exploits with England at Euro 2020.

But it now seems like the 25-year-old is on his way to Etihad as he has reportedly arrived to Manchester

  • POSITION CHANGE

Jack Grealish will be deployed as a central midfielder by Pep Guardiola, according to the Athletic.

The 25-year-old played mainly off the left wing for Aston Villa last season, but Guardiola is likely to utilise Grealish in midfield alongside Ilkay Gundogan and Kevin De Bruyne.

With Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez, Bernardo Silva, Ferran Torres and Phil Foden all operating out wide, Guardiola is keen to use Grealish's mesmerising ability to keep possession in the middle of his midfield.

A £100million switch from Grealish's boyhood club Aston Villa is expected to be announced later today.

  • 'HOURS AWAY'

Jack Grealish's £100million move to Manchester City is just "hours away," according to the Mirror.

The deal is set to be announced today, before a medical takes place later this afternoon or early tomorrow.

It's still not certain what shirt number Grealish could take.

If it's not the number ten then that could be a sign that City are still after Harry Kane.

  • JACK'S ARRIVED

Jack Grealish has ARRIVED in Manchester, according to reports.

The 25-year-old is expected to put pen to paper on a long-term contract that will see him become the most expensive English player of all time, and the most expensive Premier League player of all time.

  • JACK THE LAD

Jack Grealish reportedly turned down a mind boggling £200,000-a-week contract from Aston Villa to seal a switch to Manchester City.

Grealish is expected in Manchester today after Aston Villa accepted a £100million from Manchester City that was tabled on Friday.

The 25-year-old will become the most expensive player in British football history, eclipsing the £89million Manchester United played for Paul Pogba in 2016.

  • NOT AGAIN ARSENAL

Arsenal are fearing a repeat scenario of the Emi Buendia saga as Aston Villa step up their interest in Tammy Abraham.

Villa beat Arsenal to the signing of Buendia earlier this summer, and with plenty of cash available to Villa from the £100million banked for Jack Grealish fee the Telegraph report lightning could strike twice for the Gunners.

Abraham spent the 2018-19 season on loan at Villa Park, scoring 25 goals and helping Dean Smith’s side to the Premier League.

But Abraham is a boyhood Arsenal fan, so a choice between the two clubs is a hard one.

What is clear is that Chelsea are willing to listen to offers for the 23-year-old between £30-40million.

  • TEN SHIRT DILEMMA

With Manchester City set to confirm the signing of Jack Grealish today, what shirt number will he be given at the Etihad.

Grealish wears the number ten shirt at Villa Park, but City are also keen on signing Harry Kane from Spurs, who also wears the number ten shirt.

Kane publicly stated in May he wanted to leave Spurs so an exit seems inevitable, with City favourites to sign him.

But with Grealish signing today has he got to the number ten jersey first?

Should Grealish be unveiled with a different number, is that an indicator that City are still vying for Kane's signature?

  • BARRY SYMPATHY

Former Aston Villa man Gareth Barry has said he 'feels sorry' for Jack Grealish.

Barry also joined Manchester City from Aston Villa in 2009 in a deal that upset Villa supporters, with Grealish's move also expected to cause controversy.

Barry told Sky Sports: "It brings back memories for me and I can see where Jack's head might be at the moment.

    "It's a difficult decision.

"Jack loves Aston Villa so it'll be really tough. I feel sorry for him."

  • BACK ON BERGE

The Gunners are set to revive their interest in Sheffield United's Sander Berge, according to the Sheffield Star.

Arsenal have previously been put off by the Blades' £35million asking price for the Norwegian, but now the Gunners are set to return with an offer.

The offer is said to be a lump sum for the services of both Berge and Ramsdale, with the Gunners also on the search for a goalkeeper.

The Blades value Berge at £35million and £32million, but Arsenal are keen to trim those prices with a lump sum offer for both players.

  • ROM COM

Tottenham have agreed a fee for Atalanta star Cristian Romero.

That is according to Football London, who claim Spurs are very close to landing Romero.

A fee of around £43million plus add-ons is said to have been agreed, with just the minor details left to iron out.

The 23-year-old centre-back won the Copa America with Argentina in the summer and will sign as a long-term replacement for Toby Alderweireld who left North London last week.

  • ROM RETURN

Chelsea have reportedly offered striker Romelu Lukaku £250,000 a week in wages as they prepare to bid £100million for the Inter Milan man, DYLAN TERRY reports.

The Blues have already seen an £86m offer for the 28-year-old Belgian rejected by the Serie A champions.

But they are keen to secure his signature before the start of the new season and are prepared to break the bank to do so.

According to The Express, the Champions League winners are willing to offer Lukaku £12.8m per year in wages, more than he earned at Manchester United.

And that could well be enough to convince him to return to the Premier League as SunSport reported on Tuesday he feels he has unfinished business at Stamford Bridge.

  • GREAL BOOST

According to the Mail Online Jack Grealish will join Manchester City TODAY.

And while the signing will not initially please United fans it could be a deal that helps them.

City are also said to be interested in Harry Kane who wants out of Tottenham.

But with £100million set to be spent on Grealish a move for Kane as well looks unlikely.

That leaves the Red Devils free to try and tie up a deal for the England skipper, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer eager to add a striker to his ranks.

And with  Andreas Pereira, Diogo Dalot, Axel Tuanzebe, Brandon Williams, Dan James and Phil Jones set to be moved on there may be the right funds available for United to ready a bid.

  • DEAL NEARLY DONE

Jack Grealish will sign for Manchester City TODAY, according to the Mail Online.

The report states the 25-year-old is due in Manchester today after returning from an extended summer break this week following England’s Euro 2020 campaign.

The fee is expected to be a British transfer record of around £100million, as City look to claim the Champions League title that has so far eluded them.

Grealish had returned to Villa training on Monday and Tuesday, bit now a deal with the Manchester club is set to be wrapped up today.

    WOW!
