has simultaneously put a dagger through the heart of Leicester and Arsenal fans by turning up at the Chelsea team hotel at the same time as Blues boss Antonio Conte.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with the Algerian winger - as fans of the north London club go mad over the lack of a forward signing this summer.
While Foxes supporters were buoyed last week when chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha posted on Instagram that he would categorically be staying with the Premier League champions.
But Italian who was at The Chelsea Harbour Hotel in west London, where the team stay before games, to interview Antonio Conte.
While there, he also spotted PFA Player of the Year Mahrez, who did not his best to be inconspicuous in bright red shorts.
Alessandro posed for photos with both men and claimed that Mahrez was checking in - and that his agent said to him that Chelsea want to sign the playmaker.
In a series of tweets, he said: "I did NOT see Conte and Mahrez together. I saw Mahrez outside and Conte inside. And Mahrez did NOT speak.
"I don't know why Mahrez was there or if he goes to chelsea.He didnt speak.I only took a pic with him and that's it.
"I didn't say anything and Mahrez didn't say anything. I only tell ya what his agent said 'Chelsea want Mahrez'".
Mahrez scored 18 goals in a fantastic season with Claudio Ranieri's side, having joined the then-Championship Foxes from French second tier side Le Havre for just £400,000. He is now worth a reported £25million.
Former teammate N'Golo Kante moved to Stamford Bridge earlier this summer for £30m - and the two could be reunited once again.
