DAV THAT
West Ham-linked Slavia Prague defender David Zima has joined Serie A outfit Torino.
The 20-year-old Czech international has joined Torino for a shrewd £4.2million.
Zima was in the Czech Republic's Euro 2020 squad that managed to reach the quarter-finals.
But the Czechs were beaten by Denmark 2-1.
LEICESTER'S LOOK IN
Leicester City have already bolstered their attacking fire power this summer with the signing of Zambian international Patson Daka, and now look set to add Ademola Lookman to their ranks.
The 23-year-old forward is poised to join the Foxes on a season-long loan from RB Leipzig, having spent a similar spell at Fulham last term. He is currently undergoing a medical in the East Midlands.
The former Charlton and Everton talent scored four goals in 34 appearances while with the Cottagers, including one against Leicester in a 2-1 win at the King Power Stadium.
However, Lookman blew hot and cold during his time by the Thames, and was unable to stop the London club's relegation from the Premier League earlier this year.
HEC-TIC DAY
Hector Bellerin could finally be on his way out of Arsenal, according to reports.
The Athletic are reporting that right-back is expected to join LaLiga outfit Real Betis on loan with NO option to buy.
Bellerin is yet to make an appearance for the Gunners this season.
And he is expected to be replaced by Takehiro Tomiyasu.
FREE AGENT
French side Lyon are in talks to sign free agent Jerome Boateng, according to Fabrizio Romano.
And French outlet RMC report Boateng is now set to undergo a medical with the Ligue 1 side.
The 32-year-old centre-back left Bayern Munich earlier this summer after his contract expired.
He played over 200 times for the Bavarian club in a ten-year spell in Munich.
But now he is close to sealing a deal to Ligue 1 side Lyon, with the club in ‘direct contact’ with the German international’s agent and a medical now booked in.

MERRY-GO-ROUND
Super-agent Jorge Mendes attempted to seal Anthony Martial a move to PSG, according to MadridistaReal.
The Athletic reported Martial was touted as a possible replacement for Kylian Mbappe should he leave the French giants for Real Madrid.
But with the transfer window nearing an end any potential transfer for Mbappe seems unlikely.
Real Madrid had reportedly handed PSG an ultimatum to accept their initial £145.6million offer, which included £8.6m in add-ons.
But nothing materialised and Real Madrid are now preparing to try and tie up a pre-contract agreement for the 22-year-old on January.
Should that transfer go ahead PSG could their attention to Martial who has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford in recent weeks.
PROUD PAGE
SunSport's Phil Cadden reports Burnley newboy Connor Roberts has been hailed as Premier League class after joining Sean Dyche's men.
That's the verdict of Roberts' Wales boss Rob Page.
Roberts shone for the Dragons at Euro 2020 and that set up his £2.5million move from Swansea to Turf Moor.
The right-back scored in the 2-0 win over Turkey but then suffered a serious groin injury in the last-16 defeat to Denmark which ended his Euros.
Roberts is expected to be on the sidelines for another month but when asked if Roberts is Prem quality, Page beamed: "Absolutely. He's a great player. I've never seen a right back like him.
"Defensively, he's very good but he's got the energy to play like a winger.
"I think back to the Slovakia game when Kieffer [Moore] scores the header, he makes a near post run from right back.
"If he doesn't make the run then Kieffer doesn't get the header.
"I've never seen another full-back do that in my life so he's got bags of energy. He's a great lad as well and that alone will get him a top move. He deserves it."
DAN UPDATE
Daniel James’ move to Leeds United is DONE, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
Romano reports the signing has been ‘confirmed.’
All that’s left now is for the official announcement from the two clubs.
The 23-year-old joins the Elland Road outfit in an initial £24million deal after spending two years in Manchester.
MORE ON SPURS
SunSport's Paul Jiggins reports Serge Aurier is not the only defender who could be leaving Tottenham.
Cameron Carter-Vickers is said to be in talks with Newcastle about a loan move.
Celtic have also been linked the Southend-born USA international, 23, who has been at Spurs since he was 11 and spent last season at Bournemouth having previously had loan stints at Luton, Stoke, Swansea, Ipswich and Sheffield United.
WHERE EAGLES DARE
Crystal Palace's summer spending is not yet done it seems.
According to A Bola Patrick Vieira's side sent scouts to watch defender Tomas Ribeiro in action for Portuguese side Belenenses.
And Belenenses President Rui Pedro Soares has revealed an offer has been made for the 22-year-old.
He said: "I cannot guarantee that Tomas Ribeiro will stay, as I cannot guarantee any other member of the squad.
“Tomas Ribeiro has several concrete offers. He knows that our desire is to continue [with him], but we must understand that, like Cassierra, the salary offer he’s received is stratospheric compared to what we can pay.
“As of today, Tomas has not asked to leave. I would very much like him to stay.”
However it's not clear yet whether the aforementioned offer is from Crystal Palace.
KIA’S ARSENAL BLAST
Willian’s agent Kia Joorabchian has taken a swipe at Arsenal, insisting his client wasn’t to blame for the Brazilian’s struggles at the Emirates.
Willian joined the Gunners on a free transfer from Chelsea last summer but failed to make an impact, scoring just one goal for the club.
Despite having two years left on his deal, Willian terminated his contract and departed on a free transfer yesterday in order to return to his homeland with Corinthians.
“He went for the project and the project wasn’t there,” Joorabchian told talkSPORT.
“I don’t think this is about Willian. I think something has gone wrong [at Arsenal] and this is just one piece of the puzzle.
“He terminated his contract, and he did it willingly. Previously players, especially at Arsenal, have sat their contracts out, but he wasn’t one of them.
“Unfortunately, it didn’t work out for him. When he joined, he sincerely joined because he was very much at the centre of [Mike] Arteta’s thinking.
“Arteta make several presentations to Willian and made it clear he would be the focus point of how he would build the team around him.”
DONE AND DUS-TED
Dusan Vlahovic has confirmed he is staying at Fiorentina to deal the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City a blow in their pursuit of him.
The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away this summer after banging in 21 goals in 37 Serie A games last term.
He told Sky Sports: "I’ve received top proposals this summer, really big also for the club.
"But I was never pushing to leave. I wanted to stay at Fiorentina … and I’m staying, yes."
And with the player tied down at the Stadio Artemio Franchi until 2023, Fiorentina owner Rocco Commisso has stated the club are preparing to offer him a new deal.
KOUNDE REMINDER
Sevilla are standing firm on their stance regarding Jules Kounde.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reports the La Liga side will only accept a bid from Chelsea if his release clause is met.
And that release clause is expected to be in the region of £64-68million.
Sevilla Sporting Director Monchi has said: “Jules Kounde has chances to leave the club if some club will pay the release clause.
“Chelsea made a bid last week but we didn’t like it.
“If there isn’t an offer which we feel we can reinvest well, then it won’t be accepted.
“Kounde knows that and he’s a fantastic professional.
“We had a deadline on August 20 but we received the bid on August 25… and we turned it down”
DONE DEAL
Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa has completed a move to Serie A side Napoli.
According to Fabrizio Romano the 25-year-old midfielder has signed for the Italian club on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy for £13million.
Fulham paid £22million for the Cameroon international in 2018, but he never set Craven Cottage alight and has now been moved on from the club.
NINE HOUR WARNING
That 11pm deadline is rapidly approaching.
Nine hours is still plenty of time to get any potential deals done.
But in the short term Dan James to Leeds and Odsonne Edouard to Crystal Palace are just two deals expected to through very shortly.
There promises to be plenty more drama later on this evening too!
BURNLEY BOLSTERED
The Sun's Martin Blackburn reports that Connor Roberts is the fifth new face at Burnley this summer and is likely to be the last, according to Turf Moor sources.
The Wales international – signed from Swansea in a deal worth £2.5 million – joins Maxwel Cornet, Nathan Collins, Wayne Hennessey and Aaron Lennon in the Clarets arrivals lounge.
New owners ALK have spent more than £26 million in total and it looks – on the face of of it – like a decent first window for their hands-on chairman Alan Pace.
Roberts had groin surgery in the summer – after being injured at the Euros - and was initially ruled out until October.
Burnley fans may have to wait to get their first view of the man dubbed the ‘Crynant Cafu’.
GUILBERT TO GO?
Aston Villa right-back Frederic Guilbert is in talks to return to Ligue 1 side Strasbourg on loan, say The Athletic.
The defender is set to head back to France after being told he was free to leave Villa Park.
Guilbert hasn't featured for Villa in the Premier League this season and has fallen behind Matty Cash, Axel Tuanzebe, Ezri Konsa and Ashley Young in the pecking order.
The 26-year-old joined Villa for £5m from Caen in January 2019, immediately heading back on loan to the French side.
He made 25 appearances for Villa in the 2019/20 campaign, but spent the second half of last term on loan at Strasbourg.
DONE - GRIFFITHS TO DUNDEE
Dundee have completed the loan signing of striker Leigh Griffiths on a season-long loan from Celtic.
A decade after leaving Dundee, the 31-year-old is back at Tannadice and will look to bolster a side yet to win in the SPL this term.
The Scotland international started out at Livingston, joining Dundee in 2019. He headed to Wolves two years later, spending time on loan at Hibernian.
In 2014, he moved to Celtic where we went on to score more than 100 goals and win seven league titles.
Griffiths will be out of contract when his loan spell expires next summer.
NO RUSH
Manchester United are in no hurry to get a deal for Ruben Neves over the line.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils are happy to wait until next summer to make their move for the 24-year-old midfielder.
That's despite Ole Gunnar Solskajer's side being in desperate need of a central midfielder.
But with three years left on Neves' contract currently a move for the Portuguese international next summer would not cost the Red Devils as much.
NO GO FOR AOUAR
Despite reports to the contrary, Arsenal are not interested in bringing Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar to the Emirates Stadium.
That’s according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano who says the Gunners are only focused on a deal to bring Takehiro Tomiyasu for £18m from Bologna.
The Japan international can play both centre-half and right-back.
Arsenal have been admirers of Aouar for some time, but it appears he will be remaining in France.
DONE DEAL
The Sun's Martin Blackburn reports Burnley have completed the signing of Wales international defender Connor Roberts for a fee believed to be in the region of £2.5 million.
Roberts - who scored and was injured while playing for the Dragons at the Euros - has penned a four year deal at Turf Moor.
He will provide competition for regular right back Matt Lowton and becomes Sean Dyche's FIFTH signing of the sumer.
CITY LATEST
And The Sun's Martin Blackburn reports Espanyol are looking to clinch the loan signing of Manchester City’s Venezuelan midfielder Yangel Herrera, who is rated in the £20 million bracket.
The former New York City man spent last season on loan at Granada and is highly thought of in Spain.
Several clubs in the Premier League have also had a look at the 23-year-old.
Meanwhile City's sister club Troyes are weighing up moves for both winger Patrick Roberts and defender Philippe Sandler before the deadline.
DAN THE MAN
SunSport's Phil Cadden reports Dan James will fly to Finland on his own and join the Wales squad once he seals his £30million move to Leeds.
The Manchester United winger is on the verge of a big-money switch to Elland Road.
James, 23, is currently undergoing his medical in Yorkshire and will join Rob Page's side in Finland later today rather than return to Cardiff.
James played for United in Sunday's 1-0 win at Wolves but, after arriving for Wales duty, he then travelled north to sort out his transfer.
Wales boss Page confirmed ahead of tomorrow's friendly in Helsinki: "He was on camp. I have to be flexible with the players. I can't say he can't leave.
"We're still waiting to find out what's happening with that situation. He'll be rejoining the camp.
"He won't be with us (from Cardiff).
"There's not enough time to get him back into the camp from where he is. So we'll make other arrangements. The most important thing is he is with us in Finland tonight."
RAMSDALE REPLACEMENT
Sheffield United are on the verge of signing goalkeeper Robin Olsen on loan from Roma as a replacement for Aaron Ramsdale.
According to Fabrizio Romano a deal has been agreed for a season-long loan for the 40-cap Swedish international.
He's expected to join up with Slovisa Jokanovic's side ad Bramall Lane before the close of the transfer window.
SANCHES STRUGGLE
Wolves are struggling to reach an agreement with Lille to sign Renato Sanches, according to The Athletic.
Lille, who signed Sanches for around £20m in 2019, are unwilling to let the 24-year-old go without the prospect of a sizeable fee at the end of a season-long loan.
Sanches, who is currently recovering from a knee injury and faces another month on the sidelines, has rejuvenated his career since moving to Lille from Bayern Munich.
The Portuguese midfielder has scored five goals in 60 appearances and helped them win Ligue 1 last season.
Capped 20 times by his country, Sanches had a disappointing loan spell at Swansea from Bayern in the 2017/18 Premier League campaign.
Meanwhile, Wolves remain confident of keeping both Adama Traore and Ruben Neves at the club, with no bids for either player.
