Rio Olympics 2016: Team GB to celebrate best overseas Olympics with £500 a head party
Team GB are on course for their most successful overseas Olympics this summer has seen them overtake China to second in the medals table.
The success of Rio 2016 is to be celebrated at the Battersea Evolution in November where the likes of Justin Rose can celebrate their gold medal triumph in a £500 a head bash.
The large venue will be able to hold over 1000 guests as the British Olympic Association will hope to fill it out with VIP guests along with sponsors and other commercial partners.
Funding for this years Olympic team has reached nearly £350m and with the continue rise of top performances in all disciplines of the Olympic games the association is keen to see that funding continue.
All 366 athletes will be in attendance in what is hoped to a successful celebration that will attract more donations to the Olympic cause.
The success of this years games will only further indicate the rise of Team GB as a big player when it comes to winning golds and showcasing the medal winners at such a huge event will surely wet the appetite of commercial backers.
Team GB are very close to overhauling their 47 medals that were won in Beijing in the 2008 Olympics and with a constant flow of funding there is no reason why a haul of over 50 medals cant be achieved in Tokyo 2020.
Laura Trott will want to add to the medal table by winning the women's Omnium tonight, Trott won Gold in dramatic fashion in London 2012 and she is also world champion in this discipline.
The 24 year old is becoming a household name in cycling after bursting on to the scene four years ago and a win tonight will put her in Olympic legendary status.
