ARSENAL are chasing Mario Lemina from Juventus but the Italian champions want £20million as the Gunners opening £16m bid is rejected.
Lemina signed permanently just this summer for the Italian champions from Marseille but that has not stopped the Gabon international being linked with a move to the Premier League.
West Brom were said to be interested but there has no movement since then and now Arsenal are reported to have made a bid according to.
£16m is not enough to get a deal done so Arsenal will have to make an improved bid nearer the £20m to get a deal over the line.
Lemina is also wanted in Germany by Shalke so Arsene Wenger will not want to get in to a bidding war for a player that shouldn't be attracting all of their attention as they are desperate for a striker and a centre back.
In what has been a frustrating summer for the Gunners faithful, supporters will not be pleased that Wenger has earmarked another midfielder when they are in need of players in different positions.
Arsenal's Mustafi deal has stalled somewhat and such diddling in the market will again leave them exposed as they take on champions Leicester City at the King Power on Saturday evening.
