Team GB cyclists party in ‘baller’ gold sunglasses… after namechecking their free Oakleys on Twitter
Sir Bradley Wiggins and teammates watched Chase and Status at the British House in Rio
IT seems everything the Team GB cyclists touch turns to gold.
Sir Bradley Wiggins, 36, and his teammates Philip Hindes, Owain Doull, Ed Clancy and Steven Burke donned metallic sunglasses while enjoy some well-deserved downtime in Rio.
The fivesome looked in high spirits as they partied to Chase and Status at British House, which is the official residence at the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Brazil, in their free shades.
Philip and Owain took time away from the dance floor to plug the sunglasses brand Oakley.
Uploading a picture of himself with the gold medal-winning group, Owain, 23, wrote: “Big night last night at @chaseandstatus cheers @oakley for the baller Gold Sunnies.”
Philip, also 23, added: “#Wedemboys with our golden @oakley glasses!”
Twitter user Mark Donaghy commented on the image, writing: “Spoilt g***, go for a bike ride - get free stuff! I did a PB round the block today @oakley any chance?”
Owain seemed to be making the most of his time away from the track, and later tweeted a rather tipsy looking snap of himself with a pal.
He captioned the snap: “Never made it back to the village, still out in the same clothes 24hours later.”
The lads seemed to enjoy their night of boyish behaviour with several repeating the hashtag: “Wedemboys.”

The photos came after one of the British female cyclists took to sticking a note to their door reminding the male team not to come into their room.
The message, which was shared on social media, read: “To the team pursuit men…
"Congratulations!! As we’re guessing you’re probably gonna be drunk by the time you read this, and a few of you have already come into our room accidentally – just a friendly reminder that: THIS IS NOT YOUR ROOM.
"So please don’t try to get in at 4am. Love, the girls x."
At the bottom, Elinor Barker, the author of the note, added an arrow pointing in the direction of the male cyclists’ room.
Later, Owain took to Twitter and wrote: “Hats off to the girls, they know us too well.”
