Burton Albion 0 Liverpool 5: Divock Origi, Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge get Jurgen Klopp’s Reds back to winning ways in EFL Cup
Premier League side bounced back from their defeat by Burnley at the weekend to progress through to third round
LIVERPOOL bounced back from their tame defeat at Burnley by thrashing Burton Albion to move into the third round of the EFL Cup.
Jurgen Klopp fielded a strong team for the cup clash, and he was rewarded as his Reds ran riot at the Pirelli Stadium.
Divock Origi gave Liverpool the lead when he turned in Sadio Mane's cross, and Roberto Firmino's header ensured the Reds led 2-0 at the break.
An own-goal from a corner extended the Red's advantage before Daniel Sturridge came off the bench to fire a late brace in a commanding performance.
