The goal came when Jadon Sancho pickpocketed a sluggish Jorginho to slide the ball past Edouard Mendy and give Man Utd the lead.

However, the Euro 2020-winner made amends from the penalty spot after Aaron Wan Bissaka brought down Reece James.

  • CHELSEA 1-1 MAN UTD

    78. WAN-BISSAKA WHAT A BLOCK!

The Englishman may have just gone from zero to hero by blocking Timo Werner's shot which was goal bound.

He came out of nowhere to stop that effort.

  • CHELSEA 1-1 MAN UTD

    76. A couple of changes from both sides.

    Manchester United:

    • Marcus Rashford - OFF
    • Jesse Lingard - ON

    Chelsea:

    • Marcos Alonso - OFF
    • Callum Hudson-Odoi - OFF
    • Mason Mount - ON
    • Christian Pulisic - ON

    So still no Romelu Lukaku.

  • CHELSEA 1-1 MAN UTD

    76. OOOO that was reckless Bruno.

The Portuguese magician went flying in on Thiago Silva resulting in going in Anthony Taylor's book.

Thankfully, Silva has come out of the challenge fine.

  • CHELSEA 1-1 MAN UTD

    75. Easily dealt with by Thiago Silva.

I'm not footballer but surely you have to beat the first man with a cross.

  • CHELSEA 1-1 MAN UTD

    74. Manchester United have just received their first corner of the game and Chelsea have already have 13.

Can they make the first count?

  • JORG OF THE JUNGE

Skipper Jorginho makes it 1-1 following a terrible mistake which initally put his side behind.

  • CHELSEA 1-1 MAN UTD

    70. All of a sudden, the force is with Chelsea as they look to turn this game completely on its head.

What a game this is becoming.

  • GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!

    A HOP A SKIP AND A JUMP!

AND JORGINHO PUTS THE BLUES BACK ON LEVEL TERMS!

  • CHELSEA 0-1 MAN UTD

    65. Aaron Wan-Bissaka kicked through Thiago Silva when trying to clear the ball and credit to referee Anthony Taylor who credited Chelsea with the penalty with no hesitation.

Is this Jorginho's chance of redemption?

  • PENALTYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

WAN-BISSAKA WHAT ON EARTH WAS YOU THINKINGGGGGG?!

    THAT WAS VERY VERY RASH!

  • CHELSEA 0-1 MAN UTD

    63. Cristiano Ronaldo's first bit of work is to defend this Chelsea free-kick which Scott McTominay has stupidly given away.

The Chelsea fans are not happy because the Scotsman threw the ball away when he is already on a yellow card.

  • CHELSEA 0-1 MAN UTD

    62. This is it, the moment we've been waiting for.

    • The goal scorer Jadon Sancho - OFF
    • The world's best player (arguably) Cristiano Ronaldo - ON
  • CHELSEA 0-1 MAN UTD

    60. Whatever Michael Carrick said to his players at half time, seems to be working because this is a completely different Manchester United to what we witnessed in the first half.

And to enlighten the visiting fans even more, Cristiano Ronaldo is stripped and ready to make his entrance.

  • CHELSEA 0-1 MAN UTD

    57. MY WORD WERNER THAT IS TERRIBLE!

The German international was about five yards out when he tried to smash the ball home.

But somehow, his effort went completely wide of the mark.

Romelu Lukaku is still watching on by the way.

  • CHELSEA 0-1 MAN UTD

    54. OOOOO Chelsea are all over the place!

The visitors almost caught the hosts out on the counter-attack again but this time, there were enough blue shirts back there to deal with the danger.

It's amazing what a goal can do.

  • SUPER SANCHO

Jadon Sancho scores for the second successive game running in the colours of Manchester United.

  • CHELSEA 0-1 MAN UTD

    51. Jorginho should have cleared the ball instead of trying to bring it down but his poor touch led Jadon Sancho being one-one-one.

And there was no way the summer signing was going to pass up on that golden opportunity.

You'll rarely see goals like this at the highest level in football, but we have this evening.

  • GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!

    JORGINHO WHAT HAVE YOU DONEEEEE?!

THE ITALIAN HAS GIFTED JADON SANCHO WITH AN EASY OPPORTUNITY!

AND THE ENGLISHMAN WAS NOT GOING TO PASS UP!

    CHELSEA 0-1 MAN UTD

  • CHELSEA 0-0 MAN UTD

    48. It's the right foot of Reece James which whips it in but Jadon Sancho relieves the pressure with an easy clearance.

Manchester United cannot keep giving away those fouls though otherwise Chelsea will make them pay.

  • CHELSEA 0-0 MAN UTD

    47. OOOPHHH CRUNCHING CHALLENGE!

Marcus Rashford clattered into the advancing Trevoh Chalobah resulting in a Chelsea free-kick from a dangerous area.

Marcos Alonso and Reece James stand over it.

  • CHELSEA 0-0 MAN UTD

    45. No changes to inform you about going into the second half but with both benches being so strong, I wouldn't be surprised for some subs to made soon.

  • PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!

    GET COMFY AGAIN SUNSPORT FAMILY!

SUNDAY’S MAIN EVENT IS UP AND RUNNING AGAIN!

  • GRATEFUL GARY

We are all thinking the same thing Gary.

  • OPENING HALF STATS

Not much to say apart from absolutely dominant by Chelsea.

However, the top statistic is what matters the most and at the moment, both teams are sharing the points.

  • FIRST 45 REFLECTION

Michael Carrick will be the happier of the managers going into half time level pegging because Chelsea were all over his side.

Apart from Bruno Fernandes' shot/cross, I honestly don't recall Manchester United having a single effort to test Mendy.

As a matter of fact, the visitors have only made 21 passes in the final third which is the lowest amount they have made after 45 minutes in 10 years!

But the main thing is that, Man United are still in the game and if they somehow manage to sneak a goal out of nowhere, then you just never know.

I am intrigued to see how the second half will play out.
