Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho nicks workman‘s tools in furious training ground spat
Hotheaded footie manager flips out after builders use training cones and flagpoles to mark their site
MAN United boss Jose Mourinho pinched a workman’s shovel after a bust-up.
Insiders said he flipped at builders last week on the training ground.
New pitches ordered by previous boss Louis van Gaal are currently being installed at the Carrington complex.
But Mourinho is said to have grown angry as workmen reportedly used training cones and flagpoles to mark their site. A source said: “The installation is causing friction for Jose because of the amount of people and mess. He marched on to the building site and ordered them to stop ‘taking my stuff’.”
The Portuguese hothead, 53, stormed off with a spade after barking: “If you take things of mine, I will take things of yours.”
The contractors are said to be “furious” at Mourinho, who has had a string of bust-ups in his career.
Ex-Chelsea doc Eva Carneiro was awarded £5million this year after she was sacked following a row with him. He also poked a Barcelona coach in the eye when he was boss at Real Madrid.
Manchester United declined to comment.
