Liverpool transfer news: Outcast Lazar Markovic told he can leave Liverpool on loan this transfer window with AC Milan reportedly interested
Markovic travelled with the Reds during pre-season but was not included in Jurgen Klopp's plans for the season
LIVERPOOL have told Lazar Markovic he can go out on loan this season and AC Milan are interested.
Markovic signed for £20million in 2014 under former manager Brendan Rodgers but struggled during his first season in the Premier League.
And Rodgers sent him out on loan to Turkish side Fenerbahce last term where Markovic was hit by injury.
He scored just once in 16 appearances for the club.
The 22-year-old is yet to feature under current Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp outside of pre-season.
His chance to feature in Reds' starting line-up this season dramatically dropped since the £30m signing of Sadio Mane from Southampton.
The Serbian winger has attracted a number of clubs around Europe with Schalke and more seriously AC Milan.
