Rafael Nadal left red-faced after trademark headband leaves embarrassing tan line
Tennis ace stepped out in New York sporting a rather awkward white forehead
TENNIS star Rafael Nadal will get him some backhanded compliments with his off-court look - thanks to his very unfortunate tan line.
The Spanish player is known for his love of headbands while playing the sport but thanks to the sun he now looks like he is wearing a permanent white band.
Nadal, 30, stepped out in New York wearing a sharp suit and sporting a glowing face - but with a rather awkward white forehead.
The celebrated player is rarely seen on the court without his signature sweatband - and now we can see why!
Nadal, who lead Spain to Olympic gold in Rio, appeared to have lost weight as he posed at the Virtual Tennis Tournament.
The 14 time Grand Slam winner, has struggled for form and injury in recent years and has not been to the semi-final stage in nine Grand Slams since he won the French Open in 2014.
He was forced to pull out of Wimbledon due to injury, and this week told a Spanish paper that he's not up to his usual standard ahead of the US open, which starts this week.
