Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte LIVE RESULTS: Fury reiterates RETIREMENT, potential NINE-FIGURE showdown with AJ or Usyk

TYSON FURY knocked out Dillian Whyte with a spectacular uppercut in the sixth round to retain his WBC title at Wembley.

The fight had begun in tentative fashion - before the Gypsy King upped the pace in the half-way mark and then brutally finished the job with distinction.

And despite Fury's retirement plans, the 6"9 machine could be tempted into a nine-figure showdown with the winner of Anthony Joshua or Oleksandr Uysk.

Round 9 – Essuman stabs a right hand to the body and only narrowly misses with the return hook.

Tetley starting to hold hit feet better, not backing off but their styles just aren't meshing into a thriller, with too much holding.

Another right hand clips Tetley but the left hook follow up is again a whisker away.

Round 6 - Essuman really trying to hammer home some power shots now. But Tetley comes back with an attack of his own.

The ref breaks the action up a little as the pair go to town on the inside but they both go right back at it again.

Another pretty even one on my card.

Tetley is forced on the retreat and not given any room to work, Essuman really imposing himself in the fight now.

Round 4 - Essuman just trying to creep through with the jab but Tetley is covered up well in there.

Tetley gets through with a nice left hand as the two go to exchange, before following up with a nice one-two.

Solid action from both men in the fourth but not much power punching shown by either so far.

Essuman sneaks one into Tetley's body but overreaches on his next attempt to get inside.

    Close round.

Tyson Fury getting wrapped in the changing rooms, it's nearly time.

  • Ekow Essuman vs Darren Tetley

Round 2 - Essuman looks the smarter of the two boxers so far as he rocks Tetley back with a nice left hands to get the second round going.

Tetley's southpaw jab isn't working as well as he'd like so far, but he does get through with a nice cuffing right hand.

Essuman covers up and comes back with a nice right of his own.

Both men go swinging for the fences in the final minute of the round as Essuman tries to back his man against the ropes.

Solid second round of action in there.

  • Ekow Essuman vs Darren Tetley

Round 1 - Tetley starts the fight on the back foot with Essuman looking to target the body with the straight right.

  • No fear

David Haye ignored John Fury's warning not to commentate Tyson Fury's grudge match with Dillian Whyte.

Dotting dad John was left furious with Haye's tipping of Whyte to win tonight's title fight, so much so he demanded someone else call the fight.

But the former WBA heavyweight champion has defied John's warning to fulfil his duties for BT Sport.

Haye drew the ire of fellow former fighter John earlier this month by saying: “If I had a pound, I’d put it on Dillian Whyte for the upset.

"Yeah, I’m going with Dillian with the massive, massive upset. We had an upset with Anthony Joshua [against Oleksandr Usyk].

"It happens, crazy stuff happens. And in the heavyweight division, when you think you have things figured out, something crazy happens.

"And someone crazy is Dillian Whyte, and the fact that he’s not interested in doing any promotion, all he wants to do is get in the ring and fight, I think that’s a positive."

  • No average Joe

Joe Joyce and Joseph Parker are nearing a deal to fight each other.

Promoter Frank Warren announced the fight is nearly done for July with just contract left to sign.

  • What the ref?

Tonight's referee having a final word with Dillian Whyte.

We're just ONE fight away from the main-event, the big one, the one we've all been waiting for.

But first, Ekow Essuman fights Darren Tetley.

  • Battle wounds

Some hard rounds in there for Isaac Lowe tonight. And capped off by a devastating loss in the sixth round.

Up next is the British and Commonwealth title fight between Ekow Essuman and Darren Tetley.

Amazingly, this was set to headline at York Hall next weekend.

But after Anthony Cacace vs Jonathan Romero was pulled, the fight was brought forward a week.

  • Nick Ball STOPS Isaac Lowe

Round 6 - Ball has done it!

He lands some big left hooks on Lowe up against the ropes, Lowe is basically out on his feet before Ball lands another couple of shots for good measure.

Stopped WAY too late by referee Victor Loughlin.

  • Isaac Lowe vs Nick Ball

Round 5 - More of the same from both men in the fifth round of this contest.

The doctor has to take a look at Lowe's cut to start things but declares him fit enough to go on.

Ball still trying to land some of the big shots he did early in the fight but Lowe has come on since then.

Both men look drained in there as well, such is the effort put into the early rounds here at Wembley.

Ball lands a lovely right hand as Lowe backs up in a straight line and that ends the round.

  • Isaac Lowe vs Nick Ball

Round 4 - Lowe tries to land with a big overhand right but Ball comes back with a punishing body shot to start the round.

Big cut over Lowe's eye isn't helping things at all. Ball pounces on it and is trying to target it with every shot in there.

Huge left hook from Ball and then another one as Lowe tries to get in on the inside.

And the pair end the round by slugging it out.

Brilliant undercard fight here at Wembley!

  • Isaac Lowe vs Nick Ball

Round 3 – Lowe seems to have recovered well as he gets on the jab.

But Ball is like a bull in a China shop marching forward, you get the sense he can hurt Lowe whenever he lands.

Another right hand bounces off Lowe's head as Ball bags another big round.

  • Isaac Lowe vs Nick Ball

Round 2 - Big combination for Ball lands rocking Lowe. Uppercuts, hooks, you name it, he's throwing it.

Big, big round for Ball, who scored a massive knockdown as a left hook came over the top.

Credit Lowe, who hung in there but could still be hurt here.

  • Isaac Lowe vs Nick Ball

Round 2 - Ball coming on strong and looked to swarm Lowe with punches.

Another right hand clips Lowe and Ball is starting to have success here.

    LOWE KNOCKED DOWN!

  • Dillian Whyte arrives

Dillian Whyte comes up on the big screen and is met with a chorus of boos.

He didn't look all that happy to be here either.

Probably as he's only got one fight left to warm up...
