  • Newcastle agree Guimaraes fee

Newcastle have agreed a £30million fee with Lyon to sign Bruno Guimaraes.

Guimaraes became a top target for the Magpies after their bid to land Manchester United ace Jesse Lingard hit a snag.

The Toon are looking to make some substantial additions in order to avoid relegation just a few months after their £300m Saudi-led takeover.

That is why manager Eddie Howe has already signed the likes of Kieran Trippier and Chris Wood from Atletico Madrid and Burnley respectively

  • Palace keen on De Beek

Crystal Palace are pushing to sign Donny van de Beek on loan from Manchester United.

Palace have made a loan offer to take Van de Beek for the rest of the campaign, but with no option to turn the move permanent.

Manager Patrick Vieira wants more experience in his squad and is understood to be a driving force behind the switch.

The Eagles, however, face competition from other interested clubs, including Valencia

  • Arsenal’s forward thinking

Arsenal remain desperate to bring in a striker in January with Dusan Vlahovic, Alexander Isak and Dominic Calvert-Lewin all serious options.

The Gunners made bringing Fiorentina star Vlahohic their No1 priority this month.

But the north Londoners look set to miss out with the Serbia international understood to have reached a deal with Juventus.

According to , the Premier League giants have yet to give up on luring the 21-year-old to the Emirates.

However, should they fail to nab him, Arsenal will redouble their efforts in signing either Everton's Calvert-Lewin or Real Sociedad's Isak.

But Mikel Arteta’s team know landing either player midway through the season will prove difficult as they are both critical to their respective teams

  • Gakpo talks held

Liverpool have held talks to land PSV Eindhoven star Cody Gakpo, who is likely to leave in the summer.

Gakpo has recorded six goals and 10 assists in 14 league starts for Eindhoven this season and is considered to be among the brightest emerging talents in the Eredivisie.

According to Voetbal International, PSV are aware of the mounting interest in the forward and are accepting the possibility of losing the Netherlands international in the summer.

The 22-year-old is therefore expected to extend his current deal by a year until 2026 so the Dutch giants are able to demand a higher fee from potential suitors in six months time

  • Pereira track record

Vitor Pereira is currently out of work after being sacked by Fenerbahce in December.

This is the second time Pereira has been axed by the Turkish giants after his dismissal in 2016.

The Portuguese gaffer has also been given the boot by Olympiacos and 1860 Munich in recent years.

However, the 53-year-old did experience success as Andre Villas-Boas' successor at Porto between 2011 and 2013.

Pereira also won the Chinese Super League and domestic cup during three years at Shanghai Port FC

  • As per usual

Everton are close to appointing Vitor Pereira as their new manager

Pereira is expected to replace controversial former boss Rafa Benitez, who was sacked last week.

According to the , the Toffees owner Farhad Moshiri wants to push on and appoint Pereira on a deal until the end of the season as he ignores advice from his peers like he did with Benitez.

It's said that Moshiri and fellow stakeholder Alisher Usmanov will once again listen to the advice of agent Kia Joorabchian rather than colleagues within Goodison Park.

The Merseysiders have interviewed Frank Lampard over the post while club legend Wayne Rooney has also been in consideration.

Key figures within Goodison Park expected the process to be a carefully considered one, with no immediate decision imminent.

But it appears that Moshiri is once again set on rushing into another unpopular appointment

  • Now or Neves

Arsenal are interested in Wolves star Ruben Neves as a potential replacement for Granit Xhaka.

The Gunners are very impressed with Neves’ displays this season so still hold an interest in the midfielder, according to .

But the Portugal international has also attracted the attention of Manchester United, who look poised to lose Paul Pogba in the summer.

Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in the 24-year-old, who could cost around £38million come June.

Xhaka was heavily linked with an exit last summer as Roma manager Jose Mourinho enquired about his availability.

The Switzerland international is still being linked to the Giallorossi and that means the north Londoners could line up a swoop for Neves

  • Martial to Sevilla

Anthony Martial has landed in Spain to finalise his loan transfer to Sevilla from Manchester United.

Martial has been keen to leave United since holding talks with interim boss Ralf Rangnick about his future earlier this month.

The forward's representative initially made his client's intentions to leave clear and the player then informed Rangnick.

The France international will play with the Andalusians until the end of the season on a six-month deal

  • Gini’s Prem return

Paris Saint-Germain star and former Liverpool ace Georginio Wijnaldum would be keen to return to the Premier League and play for Arsenal.

Kaveh Solhekol told Sky Sports: “The situation is Gini Wijnaldum is out injured at the moment.

“He’s not going to come out in public and say, ‘I want to leave PSG’, because you wouldn’t want to spoil your relationship with the fans.

“But what we’re being told is he would like to return to the Premier League.

“I’m not saying he wants to return today, this week or even in the summer, but he would like to return and we keep being told he would like to play for Arsenal.

“They’re a club he admired a lot when he was growing up. It’s definitely something that appeals to him.

“If PSG were to sign Ndombele on loan, would they let one of their midfielders go? Would Wijnaldum then become an option for Arsenal?

“We know Arsenal are looking for a midfielder. PSG have consistently said, ‘we don’t want him to leave’”

  • Gunner miss out

Juventus are set to sign Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic in a major transfer blow to Arsenal.

Vlahovic is Arsenal’s top target during the January transfer window but he looks set to stay in Serie A.

Juve have had a £63million offer accepted by the Viola and are now just finalising terms with the striker, according to Sky in  and transfer guru.

So the Gunners look set to miss out on a priority transfer target to the Bianconeri

  • Tielemans transfer update

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers admitted Youri Tielemans has to ‘look at all options’.

Speculation surrounding Tielemans’ future continues after he entered the final 18 months of his current deal at the King Power Stadium.

Arsenal have already been linked with the midfielder during the January transfer window.

Liverpool were also touted as a potential suitor last summer when Georginio Wijnaldum joined Paris Saint-Germain,

Manchester United had contact with the Belgium international’s agent before interim manager Ralf Rangnick arrived at Old Trafford

  • Barc to Spain

Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta has agreed a deal in principle to join Barcelona at the end of the season.

Azpilicueta's contract is set to expire in June and the Blues are not willing to offer him anything more than a one-year extension due to their policy regarding players older than 30 years old.

The full-back's time at Stamford Bridge is about to come to an end, according to Calciomercato reporter .

Galetti claims that cash-strapped Barca have struck a deal with the Spain international to join the Blaugrana in the summer

  • Dembele transfer war

Manchester United are battling Juventus for pole position in the transfer race for Barcelona ace Ousmane Dembele.

But Chelsea also look set to try their luck in landing the Barcelona contract rebel during the January transfer window.

The forward's current deal at the Nou Camp expires at the end of the season and he does not look likely to put pen to paper on an extension.

According to , United and Juve have been in 'especially intense' contact with the France international's representatives since the middle of 2021.

And the report even adds a suggestion that the 24-year-old may have already signed a pre-contract agreement with one of those two clubs

  • Spurs join Diaz race

Tottenham have joined the bidding war for Porto star Luis Diaz during the January transfer window.

That means Spurs look set to take on Premier League rivals Manchester United and Liverpool over Diaz's signature.

SunSport has exclusively revealed United plan to hijack the Red's move, with the north Londoners also now joining the transfer war.

The Portuguese giants lost Jesus Corona to Sevilla in January, while Sergio Oliveira has joined Roma on a £1million loan fee with the option to buy for around £12m.

Manager Sergio Conceicao is now desperate not to lose a third big name unless his hand is forced with the release clause, which would give him the finances to replace the midfielder

  • MORNING FOOTBALL FANS

Newcastle have reportedly bid £33.5million for Arsenal target Bruno Guimaraes.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano claims the Toon have ‘submitted a formal bid’ of 40m euros for the Brazil midfielder.

Crystal Palace want to take Manchester United outcast Donny van de Beek on loan, according to Sky Sports.

The Dutch midfielder is still not getting game time under United’s caretaker gaffer Ralf Rangnick and was also surplus to requirements for former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Spurs are one of a number of clubs tracking Lyon’s £21.5million-rated midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, according to Sky Sports.

Apparently Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal and Manchester United are also interested in the Brazil star.

And Manchester United, Spurs and Liverpool are in a tug-of-war for the signature of Porto star Luis Diaz.

SunSport has exclusively revealed that United plan to hijack Liverpool’s move, with Tottenham also now joining the race for his signature.

Arsenal have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Ajax right-back Noussair Mazraoui.

The 24-year-old Moroccan international, who is into the final six months of his contract, told Dutch media: “I think the chances of me remaining at Ajax are very small, maybe five percent.

“I am open for something new, I have played here for 16 years and I think it’s a good moment to leave.”

  • Prem quartet after Dele Ali

Brighton, Burnley and Everton are reportedly looking to beat Newcastle to the signing of Spurs midfielder Dele Alli.

The 37-cap England star could leave Tottenham on a six-month loan this month.

"I am open for something new, I have played here for 16 years and I think it's a good moment to leave."

  • Tilt at the DW Stadium

Curtis Tilt has finally left Rotherham to join Wigan... for good.

The 30-year-old defender has had three separate loan spells with the Latics but signed a deal until 2023 with them today.

  • Kamara or Rice for United?

Manchester United have been linked with moves for Marseille's Boubacar Kamara and West Ham's Decaln Rice - but who would be the better fit at Old Trafford?

The Manchester Evening News describe 22-year-old Kamara as a 'cool head in the middle of the park, often deployed as a deep-lying defensive midfielder.'

He sounds similar to Rice, although the England star has a brilliant knack of driving his team forward too.

So which one of the stars could provide the bedrock for another great Red Devils side?

  • Prem trio battle for Diaz

Manchester United, Spurs and Liverpool are in a tug-of-war for the signature of Porto star Luis Diaz.

SunSport has exclusively revealed United plan to hijack Liverpool’s move, with Tottenham also now joining the race for his signature.

  • Spurs linked with Lyon's Guimaraes

Spurs are one of a number of clubs tracking Lyon’s £21.5million-rated midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, according to Sky Sports.

Apparently Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal and Manchester United are also interested in the Brazil star.

  • Carr blimey!

Jamie Carragher has hilariously revealed he had just two transfer offers throughout his ENTIRE Liverpool career.

Rangers and Wigan reportedly came knocking but neither were very appealing to the Reds legend.

Carragher told Sky Sports: "I had a couple [of offers] at the end of my career when I couldn't get in the team.

"I think Ally McCoist tried to get me up to Rangers and Roberto Martinez told me he tried to get me to Wigan to play in a back three.

"This was when we worked together afterwards - I wasn't aware of this so whether he was just buttering me up I don't know.

"So it was either SPL or the bottom of the Prem for me - no Spanish giants I can assure you!"

  • Gini staying in the bottle

Gini Wijnaldum has dealt another transfer blow to Arsenal by reportedly saying he has 'no intention' of leaving Paris Saint-Germain.

Wijnaldum had been linked with a move to the Emirates, who are desperately in need of midfield reinforcements.

Tottenham and Newcastle are also rumoured to be interested as the January transfer window enters its final week.

But now a move away from PSG looks dead in the water, according to Get French Football News.

It claims the 31-year-old would view his time in Paris as a 'failure' were he to depart this month, having only joined from Liverpool last summer.
