The bid is currently being considered but Lingard is tempted by the generous offer, report .
Brentford chase Hull wonderkid
Brentford are stepping up their chase of Hull City wonderkid Keane Lewis-Potter.
The Bees have had a long-term interest in the 20-year-old winger – and saw an £8million bid rejected in the summer.
But SunSport understands that interest remains, and club representatives were present to watch Lewis-Potter during Hull’s 2-0 win over Blackburn on Wednesday night.
Lewis-Potter showed his flexibility by playing in a front two in a 3-4-1-2 formation – a similar system to the one used by boss Thomas Frank at Brentford.
Hull are bracing themselves for offers from several Premier League clubs both this month and at the end of the season, with Tottenham monitoring the player.
Southampton, Leicester and West Ham are also keeping tabs.
Brighton beat Prem giants for Beadle
Brighton beat Manchester United AND Chelsea to the signing of England Under-18 star James Beadle.
The 17-year-old has been tipped to become the Three Lions' senior No 1 and the Seagulls swooped to land the promising teen from Charlton right under the noses of the Premier League big boys.
Brighton completed the £400k deal at the turn of the year.
And East Londoner Beadle - who moved into local digs down south - signed pro terms on a two-and-a-half year deal despite technically still being a second-year scholar.
SunSport reported in October Chelsea were eyeing a £400k move.
But the West Londoners weren't the only Prem giants keeping tabs with Manchester rivals United and City also trying to sign him in recent months.
Dembele ‘refuses’ Barca’s demands
Ousmane Dembele has hit back at Barcelona claiming he still wants to play for the club.
Barcelona announced the winger was available for sale this month after rejecting multiple offers of a new contract.
Dembele’s current deal expires in the summer but he revealed he is still committed to the club despite a stall in negotiations.
He said in a : “Gossip about me has been piling up for four years. It’s been fours years since people have spoken for me, shamefully lied with one sole purpose – to harm me.
“As of today it’s over. From today I will speak honestly without giving in to any kind of blackmail.
“My message is transparent. I forbid anyone to give the impression that I am not involved in the sports project.
“I forbid anyone to attribute intentions to me that I have never had. I forbid anyone to speak for me or my representative, whom I fully trust.
“Still under contract, I am fully involved and at the disposal of my club, my coach.
“I have always given everything for my colleagues and also for all the partners – it is not now that this is going to change. I am not a man who cheats and even less a man who has a habit of giving in to blackmail.
“As you know there are negotiations. I let my agent handle it, it’s his turf.
“My field is the ball, playing football, sharing moments of joy with my team-mates. Above all, let’s focus on winning.”
Liverpool ‘reject two bids for Nat Phillips’
Liverpool have reportedly rejected two bids for Nathaniel Phillips so far this month, but the defender is still expected to leave the club before the window closes.
According to the Liverpool Echo, it looks increasingly likely that the 24-year-old will depart the club in the next few weeks.
The news comes as it has been reported that Liverpool wish to recall defender Rhys Williams from his loan at Swansea City.
Williams is likely to act as Phillips' replacement.
No Con do
Spurs boss Conte has refused to speak about Arsenal’s pursuit of Dusan Vlahovic.
The Italian revealed that Tottenham have their own issues to deal with rather than to worry about their rivals’ transfer interests.
When asked about Arsenal and Vlahovic, Conte said: “I don’t like to speak about players of other clubs.
“Also, even if other clubs are interested in these players, we have our own problems to solve. We have to focus on ourselves, it’s the best way to move forward.”
Moura takes Tottenham fan’s hat
Lucas Moura nicked a Tottenham fan's hat and launched it to the floor during wild celebrations at Leicester on Wednesday.
Leicester were leading 2-1 until the 95th minute when super-sub Bergwijn fired in an equaliser.
But the winger went one better with a 97th minute winner to break Leicester hearts.
Tottenham fans who had made the journey to the King Power Stadium erupted with joy as Bergwijn netted his second goal in as many minutes.
And Spurs players charged towards the away end to join in with the manic celebrations.
Moura was particularly swept up in the emotion of the occasion as he swiped a hat off a jubilant Spurs fan's head and launched it to the ground as kill-joy stewards tried to stop the players celebrating with the overjoyed away supporters.
Mari completes loan transfer to Udinese
Udinese have confirmed the signing of Pablo Mari until the end of the season.
The 28-year-old defender joins from Arsenal on a short term loan deal after falling out of favour at the Emirates.
Mari has made just three appearances for the Gunners in all competitions this campaign, with his last being the Carabao Cup win over AFC Wimbledon in September.
But despite being frozen out by Mikel Arteta, the loan deal does not include the option to make the move permanent.
Speaking to Udinese's official account, Mari said: "I'm so happy to be here, it's a pleasure.
"I want to say hello to all the Udinese fans, I'm here to give everything for that shirt and the club.
"And I hope that we're going to get a lot of wins here and at away games, so we need you."
And writing on social media himself, Mari said: "Happy and proud! I can't wait to start this new adventure and give my all for the black and white shirt and for its fans! FORZA UDINESE!"
Tottenham fan arrested
A fan has been arrested on suspicion of assault for allegedly spitting at a steward in last night’s Premier League clash between Leicester and Tottenham.
A Leicestershire Police spokeswoman said: “A 22-year-old man from Bedfordshire has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
“He will remain in police custody.
“It's alleged that he spat at a steward at the game.”
A Leicester fan responded to the news on Twitter by claiming they witnessed visiting fans 'trampling' on a steward 'laying on the floor'.
The reply read: “Horrible scenes from away fans trampling some poor steward laying on the floor, shame on them, big fines for the club I hope.”
Ful of it
Fulham have received a loan offer from Italian side Como for forgotten man Anthony Knockaert.
The Frenchman, 30, has not started a single league game this term and been restricted to just 181 minutes of action in all competitions for the Championship leaders.
Serie B outfit Como would like to borrow the ex-Leicester winger until the end of the season.
Knockaert helped the Cottagers win promotion to the Premier League two years ago after joining on loan from Brighton.
But he has barely featured since turning the move permanent in the summer of 2020 for around £10million and spent last term on loan at Nottingham Forest.
Bolton move for Bodvarsson
Bolton are set to sign Iceland striker Jon Dadi Bodvarsson on a free transfer from Millwall.
The Trotters originally wanted to take him on loan with a view to a permanent deal in the summer.
But the frontman, 29, has negotiated an early release from his Lions contract, which was due to expire at the end of the season.
Bodvarsson mustered just seven goals in 76 appearances in all competitions for the south Londoners since joining from Reading in a £750,000 deal in July 2019.
Millwall hope getting one of the highest earners off their wage bill will allow them to make at least one attacking signing this month after in-form striker Tom Bradshaw expected to be sidelined for 12 weeks with knee ligament damage.
The Lions will also be without on-loan Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo for 10 weeks after he suffered an ankle injury in their 1-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday
Saka will not leave
Arsenal ace Bukayo Saka will stay at the Emirates for the foreseeable future despite recent links with Liverpool, according to Steve McManaman.
McManaman wrote on horseracing.net: “Bukayo Saka would be an amazing signing for Liverpool but I can’t possibly see Arsenal selling a key player to a domestic rival.
“I can’t envision that move happening. He’s one of Arsenal’s star men.
“I’ve seen a lot of Arsenal this season and Buyako excites me more than any other player in their side.”
Possible Vlahovic blow
Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic is not planning to leave in the January transfer window.
That is according to Italian reporter Fabrizio Romano, who reports that Vlahovic will stay with the Viola until the end of the season.
However, Romano added that the striker is keen to exit from the Artemio Franchi in the summer.
The Serbia international has been linked with Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle
Barcelona’s transfer list
Barcelona have been offered a host of Premier League stars amid the January transfer window.
That is according to , who claim that Barca have been offered an ‘endless’ list of players to sign.
Among them is Arsenal outcast Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Chelsea ace Timo Werner and Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani.
The Blaugrana have already sealed some essential signings, such as Ferran Torres and Dani Alves
Oxlade-Chamberlain out
Liverpool have suffered a major injury blow with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain out of the Carabao Cup showdown at Arsenal.
Former Gunners ace Oxlade-Chamberlain was hoping to face his old side in the semi-final, second-leg clash at the Emirates.
But the midfielder has failed to recover from an ankle injury sustained in Sunday’s 3-0 win against Brentford.
This means boss Jurgen Klopp is without yet another senior star, with Thiago Alcantara and Divock Origi still out injured.
Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane continue to be away on international duty at the Copa Africa with Egypt and Senegal respectively
‘Trouble & Pressure’
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is lacking confidence and coming up with excuses like he did at Paris Saint-Germain, according to Arsenal legend Emmanuel Petit.
Petit told Bookmakers.co.uk: “What is happening on the pitch for Chelsea now, reminds me of what it was like under Tuchel at Paris Saint-Germain when things started to go wrong there.
“Trouble started in newspapers, the pressure came on from the media and fans, powerful players within the club were questioning him all the time and it continued week after week.
“You could see physically he had changed during press conferences and on the bench in games.
“That cool attitude he has just wasn’t there. He was getting aggressive and was also looking for excuses from outside the club”
Moving Zakwards
Bayern Munich have joined Arsenal and Manchester United in the bidding war for Borussia Monchengladbach ace Denis Zakaria.
Zakaria has entered the last six months of his deal and is unwilling to stay at Gladbach once it expires.
The Bundesliga side are open to cashing in on the midfielder whilst they still can, with Manchester United and Arsenal keeping tabs.
Reports suggest, the Red Devils had already offered the player a contract and would prefer to pay a fee in January than wait until the summer.
But Bayern are now seriously considering a move and are the favourites to secure the Switzerland international’s signature.
According to Sky Sports, the German champs are hopeful of landing the 25-year-old on a free transfer in the summer as a replacement for Corentin Tolisso, whose contract also expires in June
Dembele to be sold
Barcelona CEO Mateu Alemany has confirmed that Ousmane Dembele will be sold during the end of the January transfer window because he doesn’t want to be at the club anymore.
Alemany said: “It’s clear that Dembele does not want to continue with Barcelona.
“He doesn’t want to be part of our project.
“We told Dembele he has to leave immediately. We expect Ousmane to be sold before Jan 31.”
Dembele has been previously linked with a move to Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool
Gifford in high demand
QPR and Middlesbrough are chasing Portsmouth youngster Dan Gifford, according to SunSport's Frankie Christou.
The 17-year-old striker has netted 11 goals in 13 appearances for Pompey’s U18s this season, making him the second top goal scorer in the 44-team Youth Alliance League.
Gifford is currently on loan at non-league Bognor Regis where he netted the winner against Cray Wanderers last week.
His form has seen both Boro and QPR keep a close eye on him as Portsmouth are yet to offer Gifford a professional contract.
Paul Pogba undecided
Manchester United ace Paul Pogba is not sure what to do about his future as his contract is coming to an end in June.
That is according to , who claim that Pogba has still not clarified the next step of his career to United or any of his suitors.
The Red Devils remain keen on securing their midfielder with a new deal before June.
But Real Madrid, Paris Saint Germain and Juventus continue to keep tabs on the France international
Newcastle in talks for Bakker
Newcastle are reportedly holding talks to sign Bayer Leverkusen ace Mitchel Bakker.
That is according to the Daily Mail, who report manager Eddie Howe is closing in on a deal for Bakker, just six months after he moved to the Bundesliga.
The full-back joined Leverkusen last summer from Paris Saint-Germain for £8.5million.
And the Magpies are prepared to pay dearly for the highly-rated Dutch star
Rangnick discusses Ronaldo substitution
Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick opened up about his decision to sub Cristiano Ronaldo at Brentford.
Rangnick stated: “Ronaldo said, ‘Why me, why did you take me off?’ I said I had to make the decision for the team, for the club.
“Maybe in a few years, when he is a coach, he will understand. I didn’t expect him to hug me after being subbed.
“I know how goal-scoring players think and how they tick, but I have to make my decisions in the interest of the team. I have no issue whatsoever with Cristiano.
“I told him we were 2-0 up, and we have to learn lessons from Villa Park. After that game, I was angry with myself for not changing to a back five.
“I didn’t want to make the same mistakes again”
Orsic transfer race
Burnley have joined the transfer war for Dinamo Zagreb star and ex-Arsenal target Mislav Orsic.
Orsic is valued at around £10million by Dinamo, who are in no rush to let him go any time soon.
The winger came to the attention of Premier League fans when he scored a hat-trick against Tottenham in the Europa League last year.
The Croatia international also netted the winner against West Ham in December
