  • Gunners not giving up on Vlahovic

Reports have emerged in recent days that Dusan Vlahovic already has an agreement in place to join Juventus.

Fiorentina are said to be willing to negotiate with the Gunners, but the player's agents are stopping negotiations from going ahead.

However, The Athletic's David Ornstein has revealed that Arsenal will not 'turn their back' on a potential move.

Ornstein told his  followers: It’s a really delicate situation, with quite a few days in the window left to go, I don’t think it’s one that Arsenal are going to turn their back on.

"It’s one which Arsenal will need to lean on their ownership for support with but we saw that with Thomas Partey, for example.

"But when you speak to people around the game, the sort of numbers being touted for Vlahovic are not ridiculous for a player in that position. I find it quite fascinating that Arsenal are prepared to mix it in that market."

  • Another goal - It's all happening now!

Now Newcastle have taken the lead at Elland Road!

That's a huge goal for Eddie Howe's side!

Jonjo Shelvey has given the visitors the lead, scoring directly from a free-kick.

But it's not one Ilan Meslier will want to see again any time soon, it's straight at him!

  • Goal alert - finally a goal!

Wolves have taken the lead at Brentford, courtesy of Joao Moutinho!

That's the first goal from the 3pm kick offs in the Premier League!

It's a lovely strike too, as Moutinho plays a neat one-two on the edge of the box before curling home with the outside of his boot from 18 yards.

  • Prem scores on the doors

It's barely been a thriller in the Premier League today.

In fact, it's been the exact opposite of that.

    The current scores are:

    • Brentford 0-0 Wolves
    • Leeds 0-0 Newcastle
    • Man Utd 0-0 West Ham
  • Vlahovic not in Fiorentina squad

Dusan Vlahovic is not in the Fiorentina squad for tomorrow's trip to Cagliari.

The striker has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks, amid interest from Arsenal and Newcastle.

But the reason for his absence is NOT transfer related.

Football Italia report Vlahovic is one of two Fiorentina players to have tested positive for Covid-19, and will therefore miss the game as he self isolates.

  • Ramsey Juventus departure imminent

Max Allegri has confirmed ex-Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is set to leave Juventus this month.

The midfielder has been linked with a move back to England in recent weeks having played just 112 minutes of football this term.

Allegri confirmed: "Aaron’s not with the team as he’s set to leave the club."

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has confirmed talks are ongoing on a potential return to the Premier League.

Ramsey has reportedly turned down an offer from newly mega-rich Newcastle, with Patrick Vieira's Crystal Palace also pulling out of the race to sign him.

And with Arsenal desperately short of options in midfield, Mikel Arteta could be tempted into offering the Welsh international the chance to return to the Emirates.

  • Drone stops play in Brentford

It's been an eventful game to say the least in West London.

Brentford's game with Wolves had to be halted for 18 minutes because of an ‘UNOFFICIAL DRONE’ flying above the pitch.

The match had already had a lengthy stoppage after a sickening first half clash of heads that left Rico Henry and Mathias Jensen dripping with blood.

And then in the 33rd minute a small drone was spotted by officials and players above.

Premier League rules state that any unauthorised drone that appears in and above a stadium during a game must see the players leave the pitch for their own safety.

Bewildered fans then watched on for around 10 minutes as the drone continued to fly above the ground before eventually disappearing.

And 15 minutes after being dragged off, the players returned to complete a full warm-up before carrying on with 19 MINUTES added time.

  • Vlahovic transfer boost

Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic is keen to join the Premier League amid Arsenal’s interest.

Vlahovic has become Mikel Arteta’s top priority amid the January transfer window.

According to , the Serbia international is open to making the big step in the English top flight.

But the north Londoners are facing intense competition from rivals Tottenham and Manchester City

  • Everton 0-1 Aston Villa

Aston Villa picked up a major Premier League victory over Everton at Goodison Park.

Emi Buendia scored the winner for Villa during the third minute of stoppage time in the first half.

That was the Toffees' first match after former manager Rafa Benitez's dismissal.

Duncan Ferguson is currently placed as caretaker boss and is in the running for the role fulltime

  • Rooney addresses Everton rumours

Derby boss Wayne Rooney says he is “flattered” by reported interest from Everton but has confirmed the Rams have yet to receive an approach.

Manchester United and England record goalscorer Rooney is the favourite to take over at Goodison Park after Rafa Benitez’s sacking.

Duncan Ferguson has taken over as caretaker boss and is also in the running to take over from Benitez on a full-time basis.

Rooney said: “I am flattered, but Everton will know if they are to have any communication with me they will have to go through the administrator”

  • Man Utd vs West Ham XI

    Man Utd XI:

De Gea, Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Telles, McTominay, Fred, Greenwood, Fernandes, Elanga, Ronaldo

    West Ham XI:

Areola, Coufal, Dawson, Zouma, Cresswell, Rice, Soucek, Bowen, Fornals, Lanzini, Antonio

  • Further Arthur blow

Arsenal have received a further transfer blow in their bid to sign Juventus ace Arthur.

That is according to Sky Italia, who claim that Juve are unlikely to land Borussia Monchengladbach star Denis Zakaria, who has also been linked with Manchester United, in January.

Zakaria would rather leave Gladbach on a free transfer this summer and thus the Bianconeri won’t have a replacement ready if Arthur departs from Turin.

That is why Juventus are likelier to hold on to their midfielder until the summer transfer window

  • No way, Jose

Former Liverpool ace Jose Enrique has urged the Reds to splash the cash to bring Real Sociedad star Alexander Isak to Anfield.

Enrique told : "I love him so much. Age-wise and the player he is already, what he can become is the perfect style for [manager Jurgen] Klopp.

"Tall, strong, quick, he has goals in him. He will be an amazing option for Liverpool. I know him really well, I watch him play all the time in LaLiga.

"They should have signed him before he went to Real Sociedad, but now he's there, Real Sociedad are the type of team that if you offer the right amount of money, the player will want to go, and he'll want to go to Liverpool"

  • Arsenal receive Arthur blow

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri is not keen to let Arthur leave amid Arsenal’s interest.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano tweeted: “Juventus manager Allegri when asked about Arthur-Arsenal: ‘This is our team and we’re not gonna change anything.

“‘Arthur’s part of Brazil national team, he’s an important player.’

“Juventus are not accepting 6 month loan proposal submitted by Arsenal, as of now”

  • Need Em Back

Chelsea's bid to recall Emerson Palmieri from his Lyon loan has been rejected three times.

The Ligue 1 side are also said to have turned their noses up at a £3.35million compensation offer.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano tweeted: "OL have turned down three approaches from Chelsea for Emerson Palmieri.

"They want too keep him until end of the season - not accepting €4m compensation.

"Tuchel wants Emerson but looks difficult, as of now.

"[Layvin] Kurzawa and [Ivan] Perisic are not options for Chelsea in January"

  • Everton vs Aston Villa underway

The Premier League clash between Everton and Aston Villa has kicked off at Goodison Park.

It is the Toffees' first match after Rafa Benitez's dismissal as Duncan Ferguson has been placed in interim charge once more.

Villa boss Steven Gerrard, on the other hand, has returned at Everton for the first time as manager after his legendary stint at rivals Liverpool.

Everton XI: Pickford, Kenny, Holgate, Mina, Godfrey, Townsend, Doucoure, Gomes, Gray, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin

Aston Villa XI: Martinez, Cash, Konsa, Mings, Digne, McGinn, Ramsey, Luiz, Buendia, Watkins, Coutinho.

  • Arsenal’s Du date

Arsenal have ‘set a deadline’ for Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic to decide whether he wants to move to the Emirates in a £66million deal.

Vlahovic is under contract with the Viola until 2023 but is applying pressure on the Serie A outfit to sell by so far refusing to agree to an extension.

That has led the Gunners to make an offer of £66m and make him their second-highest earner as they attempt to find a replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as well as soon-to-be free agents Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah.

But the north Londoners are also growing frustrated by the long-running saga and report they have demanded an answer from the striker by ‘halfway through next week’

  • New Arteta deal

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is set to be handed a new two-year deal with the club determined to fend off interest from Manchester City.

Arteta, who was City boss Pep Guardiola’s No2 at the Etihad, is tied down at the Emirates until 2023.

That means the Spanish head coach’s contract ends the same time as Guardiola’s in Manchester.

Despite the north Londoners finishing eighth in the Premier League in each of Arteta’s two years in charge, rumours are swirling that he could be his Spanish compatriot’s replacement.

Arsenal seem determined not to let that happen and, according to the , their head coach will be offered a new deal before the end of the season.

They state that the former midfielder is happy at the club and will welcome talks to extend his tenure.

And any extension will see him being handed a pay rise on his £5million-a-year wages

  • Rangnick backs Ten Hag

Manchester United will be looking for a permanent boss in the summer following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s dismissal last year.

Ralf Rangnick has taken over in an interim capacity before undertaking duties as a consultant at the club later in June.

According to Le Parisien, United’s top target is Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino, who has a lot of backing in the team’s hierarchy.

But Rangnick prefers Ajax head coach Erik ten Hag as his replacement at the helm.

Reports from France suggest that Pochettino will soon leave PSG and will be replaced by Zinedine Zidane

  • Jess the one

Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has confirmed Jesse Lingard is being targeted by Newcastle.

Rangnick said: "Regarding Jesse, it's the same as quite a few other players, he's a really good player, it's normal at other clubs, Newcastle showed interest in him but I am not the one dealing with that.

"If you ask me now what will happen in the next 10 days I cannot answer that question, I'm afraid.

"As I said, it's the question of what does the player want, what other options does he have, does he have the chance to get game time, I cannot answer for him, it has to be done by the players.

"He's a very good player, a technical player. Here at Manchester United it's not so easy, we have other players who can play in that position and we cannot change from one game to another five or six positions"

  • Fresh Aubameyang bid

Saudi Arabian giants Al Hilal want Arsenal outcast Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on loan and are willing pay his full £350,000-a-week wages.

Aubameyang has been heavily linked with a move away from the Emirates having fallen out of favour under boss MIkel Arteta after being stripped of the captaincy.

The centre-forward is understood to already have a loan offer from Al Nassr on the table, with the obligation to permanently sign him for £6.7million.

And their Saudi rivals Al Hilal are claimed to have joined the bidding war to lure the Gabon international to the Middle East.

According to the , Al Hilal are also looking to land the 32-year-old on loan, where they are prepared to pay all of his £350,000-a-week salary.

It has also been reported the club have put a package together to turn his potential loan into a permanent stay in the summer

  • Du are ya?

Fiorentina are open to selling Dusan Vlahovic during the January transfer window and admit there have been talks with Premier League clubs, but no deal with Arsenal.

Vlahovic poses as the Gunners’ top target this month but has also been linked with Prem rivals, like Tottenham and Newcastle.

Fiorentina director Joe Barone told La Nazione: “Some English clubs have made contact, but there is no agreement yet. We are open [to selling].

“I haven’t heard anything from them [Vlahovic’s representatives], I had asked Vlahovic’s agent to be clear, but I haven’t heard anything, no contacts at all”

  • How abou that

Newcastle have joined the January transfer race for Olympiacos star Pape Abou Cisse, reports SunSport's Kostas Lianos.

Cisse has been previously linked with Arsenal, Everton, Leicester and Liverpool following a series of standout performances in the Champions League and Europa League for the Piraeus outfit throughout the years.

But sources have told SunSport that the Magpies have also entered the bidding war after watching the centre-back's impressive displays in the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal.

The Toon have held talks with the 26-year-old's agent and want to complete the deal during the January transfer window.

The fee being discussed is in the region of £12million and the Greek champions are said to be open to a potential agreement under those terms

  • Jon the move

Chelsea and Tottenham have shown interest for Lille star Jonathan David but face competition from Barcelona.

That is according to , who report that the Blues, Spurs as well as Barca have all made an enquiry into David' immediate future.

The striker has been linked with some of Europe's other big hitters, like Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Real Madrid.

However, the Canada international is not looking to leave the French champions in January

  • Shining De Ligt

Chelsea are considering the pursuit of Juventus star Matthijs de Ligt in the summer.

According to , the Blues are facing stiff competition as Bayern Munich and Barcelona are also keeping tabs on De Ligt.

But the Blues are also monitoring the situation and are "willing to go crazy" to secure the centre-back's services as they could lose both Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen in the summer.

The asking price for the Netherlands international - who is represented by super-agent Mino Raiola - has been set at £54million
