Bastain Schweinsteiger is aiming to impress Jose Mourinho but will consider MLS move to New York City FC

BASTIAN SCHWEINSTEIGER bowed out of international football last night after playing his last game for Germany.

Now the task for the former Bayern Munich midfielder is to impress Jose Mourinho so he can get some game time at Manchester United.

So far the German has failed to impress his new boss and has been on the sidelines watching the new look United make the perfect start to their Premier League campaign.

In Schweinsteiger's favour is that this month sees the start of the Europa League and the EFL cup which may open the door for him to get some game time.

However if Schweinsteiger cannot convince his boss to include him in the squad then a move elsewhere will be his only option and the 32 year is open to the idea of a move to the MLS.

"New York is a great city, but I have a contract with United until 2018 and you know what the atmosphere is like at Old Trafford."

It's my dream to run out there for Manchester United again. I hope I get the chance to help the team again."

Mourinho however wont be an easy pushover when it comes to playing players he doesn't think fit in to his plans with the manager unhappy that Schweinsteiger did not find another club this summer.
