Heartbroken Chris Eubank Jr says brother’s death was hardest moment of his life but he ‘lives on via his son’
CHRIS EUBANK JR admits the death of his brother Sebastian was the hardest moment of his life.
Seb tragically passed away last July after suffering a heart attack while watching the sunset in the sea in Dubai.
His passing was made even more heartbreaking by the fact he'd just fathered a baby boy a few weeks earlier.
The Eubank family are still getting to grips with the loss of Seb but are grateful his legacy will live on through his son Raheem.
Eubank Jr told SunSport: "It’s been a hell of a year.
"I’ve never had to deal with anything as hard as this in my life.
"My brother, who I was very close with, I just thank God he had a son just before he passed away and now he lives on via his son.
"He was an awesome human being, and he will always be remembered and he will always be with me."
Eubank Jr, 32, has vowed to treat baby Raheem like his 'own' child.
In an emotional social media post, he wrote: "Now your legacy will live on through your beautiful newborn son and I will treat him like my own.
“Watch over us until we meet again, young lion.”
Dotting dad Eubank Sr was left devastated by Seb's passing and has vowed to honour and 'celebrate' his life for the rest of his days.
He told SunSport last year: "My son was a spiritual champion.
"I'm very proud of his life. Here's a young man that was feeding the poor.
"Going to dangerous countries where there were revolutions going on for justice and getting involved setting up orphanages and helping the poor.
"So I'm very proud of my son. I celebrate my son, I rejoice in my son."
Eubank Jr is currently gearing up for a showdown with Wales' Liam Williams on February 5.
The bout will be the former IBO super-middleweight champion's first outing since the tragic death of his younger brother.
