TODD CANTWELL is set to leave Norwich on deadline day with Bournemouth primed to land the midfielder.

Newcastle were interested but Canaries boss Dean Smith has grown frustrated and will let Cantwell leave on loan as there have been no offers.

The former England Under-21 star could switch to Cherries on loan with a view to a permanent transfer in the summer.

Greek side Olympiakos have also made an inquiry for the 23-year-old whose contract ends this summer.

The highly-rated Cantwell was once linked with a move to the likes of Tottenham and Manchester United during his first season in the Premier League two years ago.

But this time around he has struggled for game time, particularly under Dean Smith, starting just five league games.

Bournemouth believe he could help them in their promotion push and given his experience in the top-flight could be a useful signing if they go up.

Manager Scott Parker is also targeting Peterborough ace Siriki Dembele.

But the forward has also been subject to a bid in excess of £1million from Birmingham.

Should the Cherries fail to land Dembele they could move for Wales international Kieffer Moore.

Leicester were also linked to Cantwell earlier this month but have turned their attention to other targets such as Boubacar Kamara.

The Metz star has captured the Foxes' attention with his performances for Mali at Afcon.
