Mo Farah’s wife ‘slams airline worker as ‘f****** pathetic’ after missing first class boarding and being told to wait in economy’
Witnesses say Mo stood silently by as wife Tania laid into the Delta Airlines worker
THE wife of Olympic hero Mo Farah launched a foul-mouthed rant at an airline worker, it was claimed last night.
Tania let rip when they and daughter Rihanna, 11, missed first-class boarding on their way home from Rio.
They were told to stand at the gate and wait until all economy passengers had got on.
Tourists said Mo looked on in near-silence as Tania, 30, branded the female Delta Air Lines worker “f***ing pathetic”, and said she led a “sad little life”.
Witnesses claim the tirade lasted up to ten minutes before the family boarded a 9.53am flight from Atlanta to Portland, Oregon, on August 22.
A spokesman for Mo refused to comment. Delta did not comment.
Meanwhile, Mo and Tania will compete against each other in the Great North Run on Sunday, and he has said he aims to leave her for dust in the event.
The four-times Olympic champion laughed: “I’ll be so much in front of her I won’t even see her at the back. I’m aiming to win this race and we’re such different levels there’s no way she can keep up anywhere near me.”
The couple met at college where they were both in the running club but have never taken part in the same event before.
When Mo races Tania, 30, is normally at home in Portland, Oregon, where the couple now live with their three children - baby son Hussein 15 months, twins Aisha and Amani, 3, - and her 11-year-old daughter Rihanna from an earlier relationship.
But this time a relative will be minding the kids while the couple compete together. Mo says he has been helping Tania train for the Great North Run but admits it has led to rows between them.
He said: “I’ve been in the doghouse a few times. The trouble is I find running so easy I forget it’s not for everyone else. I’ve been a bit too hard on her.
“For example I do a double run everyday going out in the morning and in the evening but she just can’t do that.
“She’s not superhuman, well I’m not, but I do find it easier then most people to just run and run.”
On ITV’s This Morning this week Tania revealed how the fact that Mo has to sleep in an altitude tent every night interferes with their love life. But Mo laughed: “We manage to get round that!”
Mo says he is hell bent on winning Sunday’s run even though he claims to be feeling “completely unfit”.
He said: “I want to do the triple, the hat trick like Alan Shearer! I want to win this race to add to my two Gold medals.”
