BARCELONA have a deal in place to sign Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta, according to reports.
The Spaniard, 32, has been on Barca's radar for some time with his current contract expiring in the summer.
And although Chelsea have an option to extend his deal, it is up to the player to decide if he wants to stay.
According to Spanish outlet , Azpilicueta has instead decided to make the switch to the Nou Camp and has agreed a deal in principle to join in the summer.
If he does make the move the defender will end his 10-year affiliation with Chelsea.
Former Chelsea playmaker Cesc Fabregas, who also remains a favourite at Barcelona, reckons Azpi’s exit is nearly complete.
He told Gerard Romero: “Azpi to Barca, they are saying it’s almost done.”
But he could end his Blues career on a high note with Thomas Tuchel's side still fighting for every trophy this season, including the Club World Cup.

Chelsea reached the final of the competition this week with a 1-0 win over Al Hilal.
If Chelsea beat Palmeiras in the final Azpilicueta will have won every different competition and he has the chance to add another League Cup when the Blues meet Liverpool later this month.
That would secure his place as a Chelsea legend having won eight major trophies during his time at Stamford Bridge.
Andreas Christensen is also rumoured to be following Azpilcueta to Barcelona.
The centre-back has entered the final few months of his contract and is yet to agree a deal despite entering talks.
