JOHN MOTSON football commentary career ended in 2017 - but he has now turned his hand to analysing NFTs.
The digital art craze has taken the internet by storm over the last year and it appears even the legendary Motty has not been immune to the takeover.
Fanz Finance, self-described as the next gen Social Metaverse fuelled by NFTs, is set to launch a Motson NFT in March.
So in preparation for the drop they asked the iconic commentator to review a few existing NFTs - which stands for non-fungible token - with some of the most popular digital drawings of apes.
Motson began by stating he is 'now in the NFT business' and he seemed to enjoy describing the different artwork.
Some of the characters caught Motty off guard, leading him to call some of the more colorful pieces "bewildering".
The 'mutant ape' section certainly animated Motson the most but he did confess that he was bored by the sheer amount of apes - wordplay on the popular 'Bored Ape Yacht Club' collection - calling for more football content in the NFT sphere.
Football fans were shocked to see Motson dipping his toes into the NFT business and it seems many will not be eagerly awaiting the drop of his own NFT.

"Do these companies have no shame roping in legends like Motty to pedal this rubbish?"
Another added: "What is the world coming to?"
And a third said: "Worst thing I've ever seen."
