SPORTING LISBON star Matheus Nunes is at the centre of a four-way Premier League transfer fight - with Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola dubbing the Portugal midfielder one of the world's best.
Brazil-born Nunes, 23, shone as Sporting won a league and cup double last season.
He broke into Portugal's senior side last September, a month after receiving his national passport, and has since won three caps.
Newcastle are on the midfielder's trail, and are expected to splash the cash this summer if they avoid relegation.
And Lisbon sports daily Record now claims Wolves, Tottenham and Everton have also made enquiries about the £35million-rated ace.
The Toffees had him watched during Sporting's 2-2 draw at Porto last Friday.
Wolves' Portuguese boss Bruno Lage already has 10 fellow countrymen in his squad.
Meanwhile, Spurs manager Antonio Conte is expected to spend big on transfers this summer, just like the Magpies.

Nunes played in Sporting's Champions League clash with City on Tuesday.
And even though they lost 5-0, Guardiola singled him out as currently one of the world's best players.
Nunes joined Sporting from Estoril in 2019 for just £850,000. He has four years left on his contract.
But the Lisbon club are likely to submit to the Premier League's financial muscle this summer and sell their prize asset if they fail to retain their title.
They are currently second in the Primeira Liga, six points behind Porto with a dozen games left to play.
