Why isn't Erling Haaland playing for Dortmund?

Erling Haaland missed Borussia Dortmund's first leg defeat to Rangers through a muscular problem and now, the superstar forward will be absent for Dortmund's trip to Glasgow having failed to recover from the injury.

The Norwegian striker has been unavailable for Dortmund's last four matches, but they haven't needed him especially in their last outing when Marco Rose' side put six past Borussia Mochengladbach in a Bundesliga fixture.

Despite doubts on his fitness, Marco Rose was under the impression that Haaland would be ready for the showdown against Rangers when he returned to training in recent days.

But BVB journalist Sebastian Webling broke the news that the 21-year-old starlet did not board the plane to Scotland.

Webling said: "Bad news for Dortmund."

";BVB travel to Glasgow without Erling Haaland."

When will Erling Haaland return?

Erling Haaland's recent set-back is a huge blow to Dortmund's chances of overturning the two-goal deficit against Rangers.

And it had been expected for the Norwegian talisman to return for the trip to the 55x Scottish champions but as of now, his due back date is unknown.
