PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG has immediately endeared himself to Barcelona fans thanks to a stunning start to life in Spain.

After bagging four goals in five games supporters of the club are already mocking Arsenal for letting him leave for free.

Aubameyang's Arsenal contract was terminated to help the Gunners save on his mammoth £350k-a-week wages.

That allowed him to sign for Barcelona for nothing at the start of the month.

Aubameyang had scored just four Premier League goals this season before heading to Spain.

But his hat-trick against Valencia last weekend in his first start for his new club had fans of the Spanish side drooling.

Aubameyang, 32, then netted his fourth goal in the space of two games during the 4-2 Europa League win against Napoli.

And Barcelona fans on social media have been quick to remind their Arsenal counterparts that they didn't pay a single penny for his services.

One joked: "Thank you Arsenal for giving us Aubameyang for free."

Another echoed the sentiment by saying: Thank you Arsenal for this wonderful gem."

While a third gushed: "Aubameyang, honestly, thank you Arsenal."

Aubameyang's first two appearances for Barca were from the bench, meaning his four goals for the club have come in just three starts.

His hat-trick in LaLiga made him the first player ever to achieve the feat in the Premier League, Bundesliga, French Ligue 1 and the Spanish top-flight.

And he followed that up with a cracking finish against Napoli in the Europa League on Thursday.
