Drone Racing League coming to the UK as Sky strike huge deal which will also see London host nation’s first-ever race
EXCITING sport is hugely popular in America and will now make its away across Atlantic as Sky look to broaden horizons
PROFESSIONAL drone racing is coming to the UK after Sky struck a $1million (£760,000) deal with the Drone Racing League.
The DRL sees competitors race drones around incredibly detailed, tight and mind-boggling tracks at scintillating speeds.
The drones are piloted by professionals who can get a first-person view of the track thanks to a camera.
And Sky Sports Mix will now show 10 hour-long episodes covering five races after investing the huge sum of cash.
But the deal also means the UK will host its first-ever professional drone race at a yet-to-be confirmed location in London.
