He is then set for a trilogy blockbuster in September against Gennady Golovkin.

But according to , Canelo’s trainer and manager Eddy Reynoso is already lining up a third for in December alongside Hearn.

That would take his 2022 package up to $160m (£120m) with cruiserweight champ Ilunga Makabu an end-of-year target.

Britain’s John Ryder in the UK is another alternate, but Hearn admitted he would love to take Canelo back home to Mexico.

Hearn first started working with Canelo after the pound-for-pound king terminated his contract with Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions.

And the Matchroom Boxing boss has no problem admitting he is living the dream.

He said: “In England, they take the mickey out of me for being a Canelo fanboy, but I am. One, he’s the easiest person I’ve ever worked with.

“Two, he’s the best fighter I’ve ever worked with and three, he’s the biggest draw I’ve ever worked with.

“So, for us it’s massive and it’s enjoyable. That’s the most important thing.”
