LA Rams return to Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum as LeBron James, Red Hot Chili Peppers, James Corden and Andrew Flintoff watch win over Seattle Seahawks

Jeff Fisher's team beat rivals 9-3 as the NFL returned to Los Angeles for the first time since 1994

THE Rams returned to Los Angeles after 22 years with a win over one of their biggest rivals on Sunday night.

Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke moved the Rams back to LA from St Louis over the summer with the NFL returning to Los Angeles for the first game in California since 1994.

After a terrible 28-0 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in week one, the Rams were much better in front of 91,046 of their own fans plus a host of celebrities and famous athletes.

In a tight, low-scoring affair, Jeff Fisher's team managed to upset NFC West favourites the Seattle Seahawks with a 9-3 win.

The fans that packed inside the crumbling Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum - a new 80,000-seat home is being built at the moment - didn't see a touchdown but at least saw a win.

For the landmark event NBA star LeBron James was on the sideline with Kroenke.

Entertainment came from the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Ceelo Green in a spectacular half-time show.

James Corden and Andrew Flintoff also appeared... wearing dresses and dancing with the cheerleaders.

On the field the Rams' defence led them to victory over a hobbled Russell Wilson.

They even wore their throwback yellow and blue kits from the 1990s.

Kicker Greg Zuerlein scored all nine points as the Rams offence again failed to score a touchdown, but unlike against the 49ers, the defence was excellent.

They forced two sacks and two fumbles - including one in the fourth quarter that sealed the win.

The Seahawks managed just 67 yards rushing in total.
