MANCHESTER UNITED are set to hand Erik ten Hag a huge transfer war chest even if they miss out on the Champions League – and both Harry Kane and Declan Rice are on their wishlist.
The Red Devils appear to be closing in on appointing Ajax’s Dutch boss as their new permanent manager.
Now states that United “have finalised a shortlist of targets” to present to the new man this summer.
It states that a new striker is a top priority with Tottenham’s Harry Kane a target.
And his England international team-mate Declan Rice is another.

The midfielder has long-been admired by the Red Devils – although this report states there is an acknowledgement that the pair are “the most ambitious and costly” on their list.
And that “there is an acceptance at the club that either deal could be very difficult” to complete.
Aston Villa’s John McGinn is another player interesting them.
The report states a United source said: “We’re pretty clear on who we want and why and we’ve had conversations with them.

“When the manager is named it’s a conversation with them to say: ‘Here are our options and recommendations and these are the reasons why. We’ve done the work’.”
Ten Hag will also have the chance to recommend signings and he could look to bring in stars from Ajax.
Brazilian forward Anthony, 22, is already attracting interest from the Premier League and is “greatly admired” by Ten Hag.
As Sun Sport reported previously, United are set for a mass clearout at the end of the campaign with 17 players potentially departing.
Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata and Edinson Cavani will all leave on free transfers if new deals cannot be agreed.
