David de Gea slams Man Utd defeat to Everton as ‘disgraceful’ as top-four hopes left in tatters
MANCHESTER UNITED goalkeeper David de Gea blasted his side's performance in the 1-0 defeat to Everton as "disgraceful".
The Red Devils lost yet more ground in the race for the top four following a lacklustre display at Goodison Park.
United headed into the game having won just three out of their last 12 in all competitions, but De Gea still labelled the clash as one they should be winning.
Failure to beat the Toffees, who were one point above the drop zone at the start of play, was slammed as a "not acceptable" by the Spaniard.
De Gea told the : "It is a disgrace from us, we should be winning this game.
"We don’t score but we don’t create proper chances to score. We are not good enough, that is for sure. It will be difficult to be in the top four.

"They played Wednesday and they were tired but they had more desire than us, that is not acceptable.
"It's very sad to lose today."
The result leaves United languishing seventh in the Premier League table, just two points ahead of eighth-placed Wolves.
And De Gea wasn't the only one to criticise the performance at Goodison Park.

Red Devils legend Gary Neville branded his old side "a joke" after they slumped to defeat against the struggling Toffees.
He wrote on : "United a joke. Well done to Everton.
"Would have also been hard for Frank Lampard to hear Sean Dyche say what he said so well done to him. Some response."
The result leaves United level on points with West Ham, and three behind both Tottenham and Arsenal.
