AARON CHALMERS has been called out to a hometown fight in Newcastle by Jake Paul's sparring partner Anthony Taylor.
Chalmers this year turned professional in boxing after leaving MMA with a 5-2 record.
And while signed to Bellator, the Geordie Shore star was challenged by Taylor, who was 7-5 before also swapping the cage for the ring.
Now the American claimed he and Chalmers have verbally agreed to fight this year.
Taylor told SunSport: “Me and Chalmers, we definitely knew who each other were in Bellator and we definitely both had an interest to fight.
“Of course, he’s left the MMA game but I’ve reached out to him and he reached out to me.

“We are both excited for each others careers in boxing. Me and Aaron Chalmers, we are going to fight, it’s happening this year.
“I am going to the UK to fight Aaron Chalmers, that’s 100 per cent guaranteed.
"We don’t have dates yet, but it’s definitely going to be on Sky Sports.”
Chalmers, 34, was due to make his boxing debut in Newcastle until a broken nose KO'd those plans.

But Taylor, 33, wants still wants to play pantomime villain and take on the former reality TV favourite and the supporting Toon army.
He said: “I love playing the bag guy role. I’m the Triple H of boxing. I like being the bad guy, I like hearing the boos.
“I’ve been hearing boos all my life so you get used to it. I’ve never really had people cheer for me like that.
“But I’m here and ready to go when Chalmers needs me.”
Taylor has acted as Paul's sparring partner in two of the YouTuber star's training camps.
It has also afforded him a spot on his last two undercards but the former MMA lightweight suffered defeat both times.
Whereas Paul, 25, beat ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 40, on points and then by knockout in their rematch.
Taylor has now called out Woodley himself as both stand winless in the boxing ring.
