Chris McQueen aims to get the run of the house as Huddersfield face Leeds

CHRIS McQueen admits things have not been quiet around the house this week as he faces his housemate, former team-mate Aidan Sezer’s, Leeds – they never are.

The Huddersfield back rower lives with the man whose new employers are looking to restart their poor season by defeating the club that brought him to England.

And the jokes and comments were exchanged as the big day loomed.

McQueen, 34, said: “Aidan’s move didn’t change our living arrangements. We’re pretty close to the M62 and he doesn’t mind doing the drive to and from Leeds.

“We both circled the games between the Rhinos and the Giants when the fixture list came out.

“There’s a fair bit of banter going on, it’s been a good week but come game day, we’re both professionals and have been doing this for a long time.

“The living arrangements and the friendship will be left at the door. I’m sure there’ll be more banter after the game, it’ll be interesting.

“Aidan’s good to live with. I enjoy it – I’m not sure everyone would, he’s a bit of a clown!

“He’s loud and carries on but that suits my personality well because I’m very similar but if you were quiet or a bit more serious, I think you’d struggle.”

Sezer left Huddersfield for Leeds in the off season but has not been a hit at Headingley.

And he misses out on tonight’s meeting between the Giants and the Rhinos after playing through much of the season through a groin injury.

The half back said: “I’ve had a lot of pain around my tendon pubis area and it has definitely compromised me in how I am training. I haven’t really trained much”
