Maguire joined the rest of the team at Manchester Airport before flying to London.

But the centre-back won't start the game, although he could still be named on the bench after falling victim of a bomb threat late on Thursday.

Police sniffer dogs searched the £4million Cheshire mansion Maguire shares with fiancee Fern Hawkins and their two young daughters, but nothing was found.

The bomb threat came via email with the sender -who is thought to be an angry fan - suggesting an explosive device would be planted at the England international's home.

A spokesperson for Maguire said: "In the last 24 hours, Harry has received a serious threat to his family home.

"He has reported this to the police who are now looking into the matter.

"The safety of his family and those around him is obviously Harry’s number one priority.

"He will continue to prepare for this weekend’s fixture as normal and we will not be commenting in any further detail at this time."

Maguire has been subject to abuse all season long from United fans, and was even booed by England supporters despite his brilliant performances in a Three Lions shirt.

But the 29-year-old refuses to be forced out of the club and a spokesperson for the defender branded the person who made the bomb threat a "coward".
