Emma Raducanu splits from ANOTHER coach and looking for fourth in just year after form struggles following US Open win

EMMA RADUCANU has begun the search for a fourth tennis coach in less than a year after splitting with Torben Beltz.

The US Open champion only started working with the German last November but they have now parted ways – just days after her impressive display at the Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart.

The 19-year-old, whose tennis career is managed by IMG and guided by her parents, is planning to “transition to a new training model” before she plays Wimbledon in late June.

While she is out in Madrid this week - this is just her third pro clay-court tournament - LTA's head of women's coaching Iain Bates will provide support in terms of day-to-day training.

Raducanu said: “I want to thank Torben for his coaching, professionalism and dedication over the last half a year.

“He has a huge heart and I have enjoyed our strong chemistry during the time together.

“I feel the best direction for my development is to transition to a new training model with the LTA supporting in the interim.”

Raducanu, who was sitting her A Levels last summer, reached the Last 16 of the 2021 Wimbledon Championships under the tutelage of experienced coach Nigel Sears, who is Andy Murray’s father-in-law.

During her fairytale US Open success at Flushing Meadows – for which she won £1.8million in prize money – she was working with unknown LTA youth coach Andrew Richardson.

Yet much to the surprise of many, the pair split a few weeks after returning home from New York.

Since then Raducanu has worked temporarily with Jeremy Bates – for a few days at Indian Wells last October – and on a trial basis with Jo Konta’s former coach Esteban Carrill.

Like with Konta, it appears Raducanu might spend the next few years chopping-and-changing her coaching staff until she settles on a full-time replacement.

Beltz, 45, worked with multiple Slam champion Angelique Kerber and joined the Kent ace’s set-up at the end of last season.

The world No. 11 and her agent had been photographed meeting Beltz in a coffee house in Orpington following trials at the Bromley Tennis Centre.

Raducanu spent a few days preparing for the clay court season at Riccardo Piatti's academy in Liguria, Italy earlier this month -- and that had prompted speculation that all was not right with the Beltz relationship.

Raducanu has struggled with consistency since the Slam success, winning just seven of her 17 matches and only making two-quarter-final appearances (Transylvania and Stuttgart).
