Tottenham announce Rangers friendly with Antonio Conte’s men set to travel to Ibrox this summer

TOTTENHAM are set to take on Rangers in a friendly this summer.

Spurs announced the news on with the game penciled in for July 23 at Ibrox.

It will be the first meeting between the two sides since 2004, when Rangers beat Spurs 2-0 in a friendly.

Tottenham tweeted: "We are excited to confirm that our Men's first team will travel to Ibrox for a pre-season friendly against Rangers on Saturday 23 July.

"See you soon, Rangers! 👋"

The match will also be broadcast live globally on both RangersTV and SPURSPLAY.

Rangers announced tickets for the game will go on sale once season ticket renewals have been concluded.

It will be Antonio Conte's first visit to Ibrox but not his first trip to Glasgow, having won 3-0 at Celtic Park with his Juventus side in 2013.

Rangers could prove to be a more stern test for Conte's Spurs team after reaching the Europa League semi-finals this season.

Fans have been reacting to the news with one Tottenham supporter tweeting: "Why not celtic 😭"
