Despite competing with Edinson Cavani and Luis Suarez for places, Stuani has made 30 appearances for the South American nation and scored 5 goals.

However he caused controversy this week by suggesting he was open to a return to former club Espanyol.

Jordan Rhodes also returns to full fitness and could put pressure on Alvaro Negredo for a starting berth.

“They [the squad] are all fit except Grant Leadbitter and Fabio,” said Karanka.

“I have to try to find the best XI to try to beat Tottenham because we know it’s going to be another tough game against big club and another unbeaten team.

“They are both also close to starting with the team. I’m really pleased because I’ve almost got all of my squad ready to play.”
