Chelsea starlets Broja and Colwill will not accept transfer offers until crisis-club’s future is resolved

CHELSEA whizkids Armando Broja and Levi Colwill are waiting on the club’s future before they can have their own sorted out.

The Blues are currently in the midst of a takeover process as Roman Abramovich sells up.

They are unable to buy or sell players, or offer new contracts, while the sanctioned Russian oligarch remains at the helm.

Should new ownership be green lit, then those rules will be removed.

But until then there is the possibility that the Blues may have to rely on their existing squad, meaning there is a chance highly-rated Broja and Colwill will be involved.

That could be the case anyway after encouraging campaigns from both starlets.

Broja, 20, has hit nine goals on loan at Southampton, though his form has tailed off of late and he last hit the back of the net at the beginning of March.

Saints would like to sign him again on another season’s loan, while there is interest at home and abroad in the Albanian forward.

England Under-21 centre-back Colwill, 19, has shone on loan at Huddersfield, who have qualified for the Championship play-offs.

Chelsea are currently in need of defenders with centre-backs Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger set to join Barcelona and Real Madrid on respective free transfers.
